Card came in the mail today. chile! who knew USCIS could be this efficient? it literally took ONE day from 'your card has been mailed' to delivery.

They are pretty quick once USPS picks up the package. My card took two days to arrive.  On to the next part!!!

Just realized another beauty of a result of this ridiculously slow process on top of (once my TN expires) while waiting for this gd forsaken EAD:

1) will need to self-terminate my employment on the day it expires - 90 days from today.

2) will no longer afford my rent, and will be forced to live...where?

3) will probably eventually get my car repoed because no income means no money for bills and notes.

4) and now...how could I forget, my Texas driver’s license expires on the day my current status expires, and I’m not allowed to renew it until I can show a valid status.

This just keeps getting worse and worse.

And some of you wonder why the constant venting of extreme frustrations??!!

90 days and counting until expiry...we hit 100 days on Saturday of pure NOTHING!

Life’s good, ain’t it?!

Yes they have certain amount of time to respond to rfie, which is 60 days. I talked to my attorney about it when I hit 74 days after submitting my RFIE response. and he said he wasn't able to put in an inquiry. So I myself called last week and put in an inquiry and I was told to call back after 30 days if I don't get an update.

Hey, sorry about your RFIE, I know how you feel. I got my RFIE in February (affidavit of support related issues), and after 60 days of submitting the response I called USCIS, and was told their processing time for it is about 90 days now, and I’m within this timeframe. It was frustrating. But I was shocked when next day my status changed, and I got to know they sent me the second RFIE (yeah, yeah...). Turned out they sent me the exact same letter as the first time, just changed the dates, and this time they give me less time to respond. I wonder is it because I called them or just “being lucky”? Anyway wish you all the best, hope you’ll hear from them soon 😃

Hmm.... That is frustrating. "second rfie!" I look forward to hear from them soon. Today mark 94 days for me. I plan to call again next week.

In a way I feel that we those who get RFIE are being punish in a way I can't understand.

Some March filers are getting ead approvals and their interviews scheduled. Even some April filers are getting their interview scheduled.

I don't know why I have not heard anything after submitting my response about whether i am ready to be scheduled for the interview or whatever.

I hope we get lucky and get process fast.

I am so frustrated.

I wish us both luck.

I can't say life is good while I am going through frustration. Today I hit 94 days of submitting my RFIE response. And 137 days of case recieved for EAD. I am beyond frustration and I am sad and overall angry. This is just because I am waiting and waiting whiles some March and April filers are getting their interview scheduled and getting their ead

This whole process makes me wonder and I keep on asking myself if it was a good decision for me to move from West Africa to US. Now I just put my frustration in gardening just to distract myself.

@Northerndynasty I wish us luck to get updates. Fingers crossed.

You know this system is a big joke, nothing is working in a way it’s supposed to, so why do we even bother to understand it? It doesn’t make any sense at all anyway! Seems like the USCIS motto is “let the force of powerful random decide” 😃

No worries, we’ll get our updates (better) sooner or later, don’t think about others, it’ll make you even more frustrated and depressed, we don’t need it in our lives.

Let’s hope for the best!

Hmm..... You are right. We are suppose to think about ours and not to about others.

No one can understand the system of USCIS and how they process the application.

Yes, let's hope for the best.

Why don’t you expedite your application? Seems like you would have a legit reason to and then you don’t have to keep worrying about possibly losing your job.

I called last week asking about the process so I had an idea of when I should apply to expedite, and she said “I can send in a request for you now if you want”. I asked her if it would affect our application if the expedite was denied and she said not. She put in the request on the 10th May and on the 16th I got an email asking for evidence to support it. Going to send it off this weekend and hopefully get an answer soon.

The way I see it is, why not try and expedite now so you can put your mind at ease instead of constantly worrying and applying to expedite at the last minute? With the current processing times it’s likely you will need to expedite your application at some point in the next 90 days so why not do it now?

My anxiety was overwhelming on me a few days ago and I just couldn't stop crying at least for an hour. Even my husband couldn't calm me down.

This whole process is so unfair. While I was crying I told my husband how much I already hate to be in this country and if our IO will try to make hard our interview, I'm not going to zip-it and I don't care if I don't get the green card.

I am so appreciative of your sensitivity to what I am clearly demonstrating the need for an expedite due to obvious extreme financial despair.  And...

So, like you, I called at the beginning of April about self-initiating an Expedite request, and was advised by the Customer Support person who answered my call, that from the outset, it would appear as though I would definitely “qualify”, but that decision can only be made by an official request and an Officer.  I was advised to initiate by June 1st, because the CSR felt our EAD would honestly be processed by then.

i will be executing that request on June 1st...no doubt.

Thank you for your supporting response.  The latest issue of my drivers license expiring on the same date as my TN, was really adding a tremendous amount of fear and stress, as if there isn’t enough already.

Honestly, considering how much you have riding on the line, and unlike K-1 Adjusters who knew they would have no job for months, you have quite a bit to lose, expediting sooner rather than later might be a very good idea for you. Remember, Memorial day weekend is coming up, and I wouldn't be surprised if USCIS will slow down in General in the summer, with children out of school and people starting to take their summer vacations.
