January 2019 - AOS Filers (merged)

I filed in December with a NOA1 of December 20th 2018; my EAD/AP still remains "Case was received" and my i-485 says "Fingerprint Fee was received" on both the old & new USCIS website even though i completed my Bio appt on January 4th 2019.

After looking at some of the other groups, some people who filed in September & October 2018 never had their cases updated until it said "Card Produced". It is not uncommon to have no updates until the process is completed which is currently taking 5 months from the date of filing.

I

I mean what was status online showing me

that same status telling via phone

We are in the same situation. Website and automated phone system telling the same thing when our fingerprints were taken over a month ago.  The best thing is to call USCIS and talk to a live person. They have information that we do not have access to. We called and they did receive our fingerprints and is processing normally.  You will see some people have updates but not everybody seems to receive it.

hi

I just recieved Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview notice.

what is that mean?

thank you

Basically you wait for the letter to tell you when your interview date is and where.  You are that much closer to the end.

Thanks for input!

Those updates suck.. I mean i'd hope to have more updates like "Case was sent to Missouri", "case was reviewed", "case was sent to local processing office" etc. Not "received" the whole time. USCIS would have easier time with less people calling and asking about their case as it would say all the info online.

They scan cases regardless, it wouldn't be too difficult to code a couple more updates.

PaulMac you are right. My also remains case was received. But I believe the case is in Missouri (National Benefits Center)  because that was where I send my RFE response to. Let us hope for a good news because waiting sucks. Fingers 🖐️ crossed 🤞🤞🤞

Very brief update from this quasi-Jan/Feb filer:

1/25 - Sent AOS case

1/28 - Rec'd

2/13 - NOA1s rec'd (!!!!!)

2/15 - Bio's scheduled for 3/4

3/4 - Bios taken

3/6 - Fingerprint review completed

For those that are enduring the wait, I completely sympathize with you, as it took 16 days from "Rec'd" to "NOA1s".  Please hang in there...we're all in this with you together!

It's nice to know the Fingerprint review took only a couple of days (this stuff IS fast, when the technology works).  Guess it's a waiting period until the next phase.  I have a TON riding on timelines here, so I, too, want this stuff to go through fassst!  My entire family does.  So...I'm just as anxious as all of us are.  Keep up the persistence and keep the faith!

PaulMac, let us not worry too much. Let us give it some time and hopefully we will be approved.

Indeed!

So much hurrying-up-and-wait...hurrying-up-and-wait. LOL

Guess it'll take its path and time and we just have to be prepared for the ups-and-downs....  :)

I guess what it comes down to is all we want to see is Case Approved. However it is frustrating to see some people get updates and others not thinking that something is wrong with our case.  Oh well, all we can do is sit and wait

That's exactly how I was feeling when I kept seeing "everyone else" get their updates.  It probably all sorts out in the end, and when you filed is when you'll see the final conclusion in-line with everyone else who filed with you (with some exceptions due to real processing delays).

The NEW site is giving updates...so I'll tend to hang on to it during the journey.

i mean it's not that it's frustrating, more like annoying.. I'd prefer to know what stage im at, or what has been done in regards of my case, especially if the info is available , just not "uploaded" to uscis websites.
Regardless, no RFE's yet, so hopefully all is well there. As long as we get approved, don't case about anything else. lol
