Not many stages are there. NOA1, Biometrics, Interview notices that are sent as papercopies, along with texts and emails. Everything else i believe just updates on the website, maybe emails. not sure on that.

Understood.

Thank you!

Does anyone send a tax return from 2018? Since I filled in January and the tax return 2018 wasn’t ready I just sent 2017 (along with 2015/2016)

what Did u guys do?

I sent 2017 as at the time i didnt have 2018 yet. If they’ll ask, i’ll send them the 2018 one. But i doubt. I’m sure they’ll ask for it in the interview though

Hi guys, glad to found this thread. We sent our AOS papers on Jan 9 and USCIS received it on Jan 14. I had my biometrics on Feb 11 and got the letter for the interview schedule on Feb 19. I have 2 questions:

1. My husband cant file tax return including me bcos I dont have SSN yet. Can we bring the tax return for 2017 instead in the interview even though it’s tax filing season for 2018?

2. Can my in-laws come with us in the interview? They are excited and wanted to come with us but we are all not sure if this is possible.

thank you!

The thing is, they use it to establish "bone Fide marriage". Basically as a proof of you two living together. But there are other ways that you can prove.

2. Can my in-laws come with us in the interview? They are excited and wanted to come with us but we are all not sure if this is possible. I think only You two can go and any legal representative. At least that was the case for my local office "limited seating is available, only people accommodating disabled or legal representatives are allowed in"

thank you!

Thank you.

Some people get lucky for no apparent reason.
I got lucky with Naturalization. My field office estimated processing times were 12-16months, i was holding certificate in my hands 7months from filing.

Mhmmm...whatev!  You gotta hook over there, don't ya!  :)

Some guys just have all the luck.

I'm not fretting about timing now that I have my receipts, but been waiting another couple of weeks for the Bio appointment.  Wonder if I'll need yet "another" inquiry to jar them to get me that appointment...like I had to just to get the CLB to enter my case info to being with.  Haha!

Some guys have all the luck.  Maybe she's born with it....maybe it's Maybelene... 😛

@PaulMac, We survived waiting for 254 days til we got our petition for K1 visa approved, so I believe we can survive this too and even better now we're waiting together. Maybe it's just me but I'm not in hurry to get a job, but I need the AP immediately because we're thinking of going for a holiday this year! Still waiting for biometrics invitation letter here :D

That's awesome!!! We had the same biometrics date, and we also got a status update on the 19th that our interview has been scheduled! We just don't have our letter yet so I don't have any information beyond that...what date is your interview?

Massachusetts. It's weird, because I thought the Boston office was pretty backed up, but I'm trying not to question the good luck. You?
