Oh you don't know my luck.. lol. If something MIGHT go wrong, it will and worst possible scenario.
Yeah, they just want to keep moving, especially when a lot of people are getting upset about processing times. They quicker they get thru them, the better.
Nothing you got there that might've made it difficult for you to DIY. But if attorney hasn't sent it out, you might still have time.

@Northerndynasty if the lawyer has not sent your case, FIRE THEM 🤣
Like that's simply outrageous. It's simply awful how this works.

I wish you all luck with this long-headache ahead

This is the classic issue we're seeing with these lawyers and why many of us don't recommend them unless you got a complicated case
They don't actually offer anything valuable to the process.

In terms of your application, no lawyer should have sent such documents with USPS/UPS/FedEx tracking. which they should have. first step is confirmation that the package was delivered.
That's the peace of mind many need. So long as you know your package is delivered, how quickly you get notification isn't all that important. Since USCIS keeps things in order and for the most part, the weather the past few weeks has simply been AWFUL.

Lawyer doesn't do anything to the form, that you can't. They just literally download the form, get you on the phone, fill it out with you, and thats it. You're basically paying for a person to write instead of you, to read the requirements and compile the whole packet. Pretty much all You would do.

That's the peace of mind many need. So long as you know your package is delivered, how quickly you get notification isn't all that important (although the nerves get all of us. lol). Since USCIS keeps things in order received for the most part, you don't have to worry about losing your place in line. I'll say the weather the past few weeks has simply been AWFUL and definitely delaying things more than necessary

Apparently, the Attorney sent it via USPS with tracking - of which they gave me the tracking information and that tracking number did show a successful delivery on January 28th at the LockBox.  So, for all intents-and-purposes, "the package" did get there.  Of course, with my obvious suspicions now, was it MY package, or someone else's?!?!?!  LOL...  But, much with what your suggesting, apparently "my package" was sent USPS with a tracking number that I did verify arrived at its intended destination.  But...what has happened since?!?!?

I know one thing is for certain...NOT to use an Attorney for this stuff moving forward!  Yeesh!

I know I know.  I just...have had various situations previous in my life where I did need the services of an Attorney, and it ended-up helping immensely.  (NO, not where I was a subject in a matter...just where an attorney was important and yielded a successful result).  But you're right...and oh what a waste of money this was...what a crying shame!  Lessons learned......

Thank you!

And thankfully, I paid their fees with a credit card, that I will immediately file a grievance on and hopefully recoup the cost.  My credit card has generally been responsive when filing claims.

And you better believe I will fire them - and report them to the Texas Bar.

hey, nobody is blaming you or saying that you're wrong. You did what you thought was right, and it wasn't your fault that your attorney isn't communicating well enough. Don't stress over it, things happen and they happen for a reason!

See what he says.

I hear ya.  Sorry if I came off as if I felt I was being blaming me.  I am definitely not intending my responses to sound defensive against anyone’s thoughts.  All good!

I reread what i've wrote, i sounded a bit offensive. My apologies as well.
I want nothing, but to help people here. In previous thread, some people took my straightforwardness personally and as attacks. Just saying that that's not my intention. I could sugarcoat and say that all is good, ooooor i can say the truth. But here there was no right and wrong.
I hope You sort it out and it comes out soon enough. Only for this you should get approved first haha!
Best wishes!

Can I take that to the USCIS as a directive (me first)?!?!  ^_^   No worries.  I'm a straight-shooter, as well, so I expect straight-up responses - which yours are fine! :)

As usual, some officers are working on the more recent ones, and some are working on the backlogged. Mine was delivered DURING that closure, but i got my confirmation 4days later via text and a little bit later 3 letters came in.

To add, mine still says "Fingerprint Fee's received" 8 days ago.. Sooooo... Meh, nothing we can do about it, can we?

Did you get biometrics appointment letter? If so how many days later did you receive since the original receipts?

Umm.. It took i think 5 or 6 business days for physical letters to arrive, lets say a week, not sure now.

Didn't get the biometrics yet. Should come in this week, or the following.

I'm not stressing about timings anymore, she's here. That's all we needed.

USCIS is giving out Valentine’s Gifts?!?!?!?!

ALL 4 Receipt texts/emails were RECEIVED last night at 11:23pm!

Praise Cupid!  🤣😂

Wonder if it had anything to do with my USCIS-referred inquiry to the CLB?!

Alrighty...I will shut up now with my whining about that all-too-assuring I’m somewhere in the process stage.

I can relax now for a bit.....

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We received RFE the other day for K2.  Very confusing at it stated we did not list the K2 as the primary immigrant on the affidavit of support.  So needed to do that again and send current tax forms.  That was it.  Confusing because that is exactly how it was presented on the affidavit of support and they did get the most recent taxes and prior 2 years as well.  Oh well, just sent the same again.

We also had biometrics yesterday.  3 hour drive there and took less than 5 minutes at the office, then 3 hours back.  Just a pain in the *** to take finger prints again, picture again and sign a paper again.

Wish you all the best
