Got approved.
The officer asked millions of questions.
where did you meet? How did you meet? When did you start dating? Where did he propose? Where does he work? What does he do? Your wives moms and dads full names. Her birthday? Did you go on the honeymoon? Did you have any trips together since marriage? Are you living with parents or renting? Does your wife work? Where? Whats the position?

then the usual questions from the package itself. Addresses, etc.
officer was polite but didnt seem very approachable. Barely a smile through whole interview. He said he needed to review the application, and we’ll hear back soon.
left the building, i kinda expected an approval, checked the app, and within 15mins it said “card is being produced”.
so yeah. Got scrutinized, but overall all went fine.

Congrats on your approval. That seems like a lot of questions.  Oh well, at least you got the approval and that's the only thing that counts.

Congrats again

Yeah, thats the only thing that matters, though interview left me with bitter feeling.

We had our interview and got approved on the same day 12/2.

Received the physical green card exactly 5 days after the interview on 12/7.

I left a detailed account of our interview for anyone who cares to get a little insight on the experience.

We are at the Houston, TX Field office and filed on 1/14/19.

According to USCIS Houston Field Office timeline for AOS is 13-27.5 months so I'd say it's a good sign that in our case we were outside of that window on the shorter side.

Good luck to all!

Sheesh.. Be patient. It's coming. It's USCIS, some get quick, some take longer. It's not even a week after.

You're 3 business days after the interview only.

Had our interview Dec 12th. Everything seemed fine and he just went over the I485. Seemed more conversational than an interview. We gave him every document we had. He said that it could take 6-8 weeks. Reading that some statuses changed the same day or next ; ours didn’t! I feel good about the interview but I want the assurance of approval lol !

Had our interview today December 17.  Pretty much went over the I485 form and if we had traveled outside of the U.S before the interview.  Took about 10 minutes for the interview and felt pretty good about the interview process.  We got the standard form letter that your case is being held for review. The wait was kind of long and the numbers they called had no order to them.  They would call people with a higher number than us and then call a lower number than us. Will see what the status update is in a few days

Hey everyone,

Just a tip that I received from my immigration lawyer. If you're still waiting for your interview to be scheduled, send in your EAD renewal paperwork early. I was advised that this often triggers the interview to be scheduled. I sent mine in mid-November, received notice that my interview had been scheduled in the last week or so (still waiting for the notice to find out when it is...) and also already received my EAD renewal card! Probably this is a weird exception but hey, can't hurt to try.

It happens with me too. I sent EAD/AP renewal within 180 days before it's expired and one week after I received my NOA1, my interview is scheduled. I'm in SF field office where the normal processing time is 18-22 months. I sent the renewal because I want to keep working and travelling, it turned out USCIS scheduled our interview earlier than normal processing time

Yes, I think I'm the same field office (I assume, I haven't seen the interview notice yet). I was not expecting to hear about my interview until maybe mid-2020!

I even expected them to schedule my interview in 2021, in line with their normal processing time and even a couple months late so that I could avoid filing for ROC. But I guess your attorney is right. The EAD/AP renewal triggered them to schedule the interview because they don't want to lose their money if we skip ROC

Good to know some people from the area in the forums. We were about to send our extension for the EAD/AP form when we got the Interview notice.  Moved our interview to San Jose (which was closer for us than SF).  Still waiting on our decision. Hopefully your interviews go well.
