DL? My EAD expires in March and I'm thinking about sending in the application soon to renew. Looks like that's taking a while, too.

DL: Driver lisence.  You can renew your EAD/AP up to 180 days before the expiration date of your current EAD. Your EAD is automatically extended 180 days after you file the Form I-765.

Well, if there's one thing you're fortunate of, is that your DMV gave you 4 years on a DL, and not an expiry corresponding with the expiration of your EAD.  That's how Florida is.  The date of expiry on the EAD is the max that the DMV will allow.

Wow, that's super annoying. I just checked mine and it expires when my EAD does, also 🤬

we just had AOS interview at LA (CA) office today but the interviewer did not tell us whether we are approved or not.

He seemed really nice guy but at the end of the interview, he gave us this Notice of Interview Results letter saying our case is being held for reviews.

We prepared all the paper and answerd all the questions.

is there anything we should be worried about?

Hmmmm...interesting.

And we thought ours on Wednesday was a complete implosion, but we didn’t receive that kind of letter on the way out, and at 1am the next morning, I received the text about our new card being in Production.  Also received notice today via email that the I-130 petition has been approved.

Do you have an Attorney working with you on your case?  May want to give him/her a call?  Not sure what to think??

Slight correction and addition.

Call the office that you got your medical and ask them whether they could issue you a new copy.
If that fails, i'd get a new medical, as they are pretty strict about vaccinations, and medical in general.

Thanks. Called my hospital and received the applicant copy. Thanks guys. All the best.

We received an update: my husband was sent a g56 notice to appear for a second  interview. It asks to bring all the same documents we brought in the first time. It does not mention anywhere that the spouse has to go. The notice is just addressed to him and asked for him to appear. Don’t know what to say or think.

Dammit.  Ok...  hmmm...are you working with an attorney?  If so, let him/her know right away.  If not, get one.  Don’t panic, but don’t take it lightly, either.

Is it a Second Interview, or a Stokes Interview.  The latter one being more of a concern.

No Attorny, and I don’t know if it is or if it isn’t. I’ve read multiple posts where people have gotten them and they’re not necessarily stokes interviews. It’s also just addresses to him not to me and states “you are to appear” so no clue.

And that’s when my next call is to an Immigration Attorney.  Do your due-diligence, and find a good one.  Just to brief them about what’s going on.  It’s going to cost you, but you’ve got to do this the best way you can.

Very likely that it'll be stokes. Just go over each other lives a bit.

Favorite, color, artist. Previous marriages, divorces, dates, kids, In-laws. You should be okay.
