This is what i have too, and i really want to do the medical soon but the status is still at NVC. But i got an email exactly like this. I’ve set an appointment already for next week. Do you think its okay to do the medical even the case status is still at NVC?

There is no appt for the medical at St. Luke's, it is first come - first served.

And yes that NVC email will do just fine, no worries if your case file is at NVC still.   For scheduling the interview that is different story embassy wants the case file at the embassy..  CEAC status should show READY before scheduling the interview..

Today I looked at my MNL number on the CEAC and it is now in transit!! Fiancee went to sleep 40 mins before I checked so she will have something exciting to wake up too.

What is next? I assume (and read) we wait for the form either in mail or email, send that to my fiancee and she can do the medical and get her interview scheduled (since everything is completed, ds160 etc)

Not going to lie, I was getting a little annoyed with the NVC lol

Odds are it will show at the embassy by tomorrow..

NVC reviews the case file before forwarding it on to the embassy, they apparently found some interesting reading with your case file.

What are you trying to say, that something almost threw them off if you were to guess?

Hopefully it will show ready sooner than later, just to clarify we can only make the interview when it says ready right?

Don't know what NVC saw, but I know they review the case files ..

Embassy has made it known they want the case file at the embassy before scheduling the interview.

So to pick your brain, are you saying the timing of receiving and distributing my MNL number, and it being in transit are irregular?  Just curious what is throwing you off a little bit

Don't know.    Times for NVC have gotten a long longer ...  takes a month or more most times now.

After the NVC receives your I-129F; how long does the data entry take? I did an AskNVC  and got this reply I received on the 16th.....

" NVC recently received your visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is currently awaiting data entry into our local system. Your petition will process as part of our online Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) Processing, as soon as this step is complete. ".

I called today to check if my MNL number had been generated but the person on the phone told me that they "haven't received me packet yet".

Do the email process for requesting the MNL# .. no real need to keep calling to get your MNL#.    NVC will reply to your email request as soon as they have your case file number.   This will also give you a document that can be used for completing the medical.
