Hi! Just want to ask if we can do medical even without the letter? We have case number already. Or we need to wait until the status is READY? Thank you .k1 here

SLEC updated their website recently to show that they want the NVC letter/email.     Some have printed out the status page from the CEAC website, but SLEC has been more picky lately with accepting that.

NVC letter should still arrive, or you could try emailing NVC to get the MNL# (even if you already have it) , here is what is needed to email NVC.

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

I highly recommend you email NVC for the MNL #, even if you call to get it, this will give you a correspondence (sooner than the letter arriving) from NVC with the MNL # for future reference.  The email request for your MNL # is also a great way to track when your file is forwarded to USEM as NVC will not reply to the email until that time. ;)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:
You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).
* Petitioner's name and date of birth.
( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )
* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

Regarding the reply email from the NVC. Has anyone experienced not getting a response via email? I am curious about the reliability.  I have experienced multiple failures with the USCIS electronic response systems. Is NVC any better?

NVC prefers email and are reliable but not necessarily quick to respond

NVC is better at responding to case file number requests.

If you email, with the required information included, NVC will reply once it has received the case file number (it comes from the embassy) .     It was only a few days when I received the email from NVC.

If you don't do the email request you will get a letter in the mail.

Hank,

On your website it states this, “Before scheduling the interview you must pay the visa fee at BPI - details below.

After paying the visa fee you can schedule the interview online or by phone - details below.

Make sure to print three copies of the interview confirmation page/letter as you will need two (2) for St. Luke's, and one (1) for the embassy on interview day.”

Does this mean you have to schedule your interview before you get your medical?

No.  The email letter from nvc gets you in the door.  We got the letter from nvc on 11.28, medical on 12.5, scheduled interview on 12.15

No, not always.  If you have the NVC letter/email St. Luke's is happy with that.

So the results get pinned to your MNL#, so your results don't get lost I'm assuming.

Your results get put in a "do not open" envelope that you carry in the day of interview
