It is frustrating. I was expecting the number around 3 weeks after they received it so I called often and then just gave up. Try calling at 7am. hang up if you don’t hear them listing the hours and call again. The message with the hours listed will eventually get you to a representative.

I called today they told me they received my case on the 27th. They're currently working with the cases received on the 12th. They told me that maybe for next week they will be sending me my case number 🤔 I hope so.

- January 18: Documents delivered to Chicago Lockbox

-January 22: Case Submitted

-January 23: Last Update

-January 28: NOA1 arrived on the mail.

Hallelujah!! Not for lost time but so thankful that they've finally located and resolved the missing case to keep the family file together. Did you pay and upload docs on the other cases already to get a head start?

I finally received the last case number last night and I paid the fees today!  This has been sooo stressful, but glad to have movement, so all 3 are together again and hopefully the payment will move quickly on their end so we can continue this train!

I paid fees on the nvc ceac site. When it has been processed, is an email sent to upload the documents or do i just need to keep checking? Approximately how long does it take?

Mine took two business days and had to check online at CEAC site to see it was processed and links were there to start uploading documents.

Hi,

I applied for my both my parents on January 1st. Both are Canadian citizens.  Our case was assigned to Texas.

I received approval for my mom last month , Aug 14. Still waiting for my dads approval... I haven't started working on the next step, wanted to do both together so that they can hopefully have a matching time line. Any advice?

You could always reschedule the interview dates to be together. I would keep on trucking through. Maybe your mom gets an interview early and they'll lump him in at the same time. Isn't canada a long wait for interviews?

Im hoping once my fathers i130 gets approved, NVC will process their case at the same time. Fingers crossed. They would never move separately.

Thanks. I just happened to check ye8sterday so I've filled everything out and submitted it. It didn't ask for my husband's criminal check, but he got that done today and will be emailing it to me.

Called again today on the 18th.

They are currently working with the cases from the 16th. 🤦🏽‍♂️ This is frustrating.....

Anybody else here has the time to spare to call NVC and see if they are bluffing?
