Hey does any one have a similar problem..

We are a couple which is happily married for 6 mnths now but we go through phases that are rocky for the simple reason my american husband plays excessive computer games at times..

There are times when it is on check and he tells me that he has to improve on it and give more time to the relationship but there are times when he shuts himself up and plays the game for abnormally long hours..

We are in love with each other and he is a sweet person (s'times moody) but his gaming habits are wasteful and puts strain on this relationship at times!!

what game?

yes, he should limit his gaming. I game and I make it a point to not play too much.

i had that problem with my ex... always playing video or computer games or fiddling with his car. he'd invite me over and then i'd sit there and rot while he did that. definitely put a strain on the relationship. i'd suggest trying to find hobbies that interest you and do your own thing. maybe if you can find a middle ground? him more attentive and you a little more independent in your hobbies. :) good luck!

I've never been able to sit and play computers games for more than 5 minutes. I get bored easily. I have a hard time trying to understand the addiction to video gaming. Maybe take a hammer to the computer. You'd be surprised what a little static electric would do to a computer, like when you walk on a carpet then shock someone. It fries the system if you know exactly where to touch. I'm sure there's a lot of information on the internet to find a solution. ;)

Sounds like my ex-boyfriend!

It is very hard to be in a relationship when you don't have a lot of common interests, imho. If you don't share his passion for gaming, you can either accept it, or give him an ultimatum (which probably won't work). If he's seriously into gaming, chances are he won't change, and it is just something that needs to be dealt with.
