I am now waiting for the original naturalization certificate to arrive in the mail so I can go to Social Security for change status.

Your passport is proof of citizenship so u can use it at social security office to update your status

Thanks for the info. I was told I needed the original naturalization certificate. I will definitely try the US PASSPORT instead.

I got a call from USCIS yesterday about scheduling my ceremony. I was told the first available date was January 10th. So my process will have taken a year and 7 days to complete. New York office

Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled 
appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.
