Mine has changed from April to February 2020 but that means nothing. I hate this waiting game 😫

It's torturous! I feel my life is "on hold" until this is resolved.

I understand 100%. It's very emotionally draining with regards to uncertainty, anxiety and planning for the future.

hello, I got a notice of interview but it's only mentions-400 nothing regarding I-751. How could I know if that Combo or not???? I heard about some cases after people went to the interview they couldn't make it because the USCIS didn't know about their pending I-751 or they don't have the file.

I have filed for N400 on January 15th, 2019! Since I am filing in New York, New York, I guess the waiting game will be long 😢

As someone else dealing with the Manhattan field office, I will be curious to see when you get an interview. Did you see in the NYC thread that someone who filed in January 2019 has an interview in June 2019 - how is that possible?!

I still have no updates, only did my finger prints. Still waiting for a notice for the interview.

Hoping it happens for you soon!

By the way, I started a Manhattan/NYC field office thread in case you're interested!

Hey guys....here's an update of what's happening to my Estimate completion date. I am so sad....I wonder what happened to you guys? Any massive change?

I read your blog post. I feel your pain. The situation in NYC is really out of control. People become citizens in 4-6 months in many other places. Here it’s 12-18 months.  It’s unjust and grossly unfair. Until there is public or political pressure, nothing will change.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I just wonder if moving to another state would help, yet uprooting everything for a process I have little control of, isn't really looking like a real solution. Do you any idea how we can put pressure for a positive change?

I hear you. Honestly, had I been paying more attention to all of this,  I would have moved to a different field office area and lived in the region for 3 months in order to be able to apply. Even moving to Westchester or Nassau would have helped significantly. But I didn't start paying attention until April when my 90 day window started. Moving after submission doesn't seem so wise given that there would be a mandatory 3 month wait to be begin with and that's after everything involved in moving.

Have you considered writing a letter to your House of Reps congress member? The 2 NY senators, Gillibrand & Schumer? Anything is worth a try to bring attention to this shambles.

You don't need them as they have the photos from the Biometrics appt. It would be safe however to carry 2 photos so that the officer can use them if any computer glitch prevents access to your stored photos! You can always use those 2 photos you carry with you for future passport application if they are not asked during your interview.

This morning I got a text saying my n400 case was updated and I also got an email saying the update was “interview scheduled” and that they will mail the notice with details. When I checked the dhs  website where I applied for n400,  I don’t see any update yet,  but in the uscis case status website, it changed to “interview schedule”

Anyone else went through this?

I applied on January 10th this year and had biometrics on January 18th. My local office is Chatsworth, San Fernando Valley, CA.
