If you are filing under the 3 year rule you must be married. Otherwise must be 5 years resident. I’m not sure how being separated will look as I believe you still need to be living together?

yup exactly what Morgan.croft and LizB0322 said, you must be currently living with your spouse, in order to apply under the 3yr rule. You will have to wait 1 more year since you are separated.

Thank you for all your help .

I'll be waitng until end of the year, around November  I believe I'll be elegible since we can apply 90 days before the 5 years.

I don't think it's worth to risk and try to apply under the 3 years rule since we are currently together but not living together, so I'll call it separated. Best of luck for us all !!!
