We submitted our submission 1-19-19

Recieved a text from uscis today 1-25-19 That they are sending NOA1.

We're so excited!

Is there anything to do next aside from wait?

Congratulations. Yes there is one item. The rest of the time is waiting for NOA2 about 4.5-6 months down the road.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Hi. I'm new here.

My fiance hired a lawyer to help us process my visa. He already sent our packet on 24th of this month. Should I be worried that they just asked me about my info? I was hoping to fill up my info in I-129F form. Because I saw that form and there are certain questions there that I believe might not be answered properly and and will result to RFE

Which questions do you believe might have not been answered properly?

It's a two for one item. Your wait time is one and completing your profile is number two. Thanks for completing your profile.

Some lawyer firms will have a 2-3 page document asking questions about the two of you and from those answer they draw the information used to fill in the forms needed along the way. I would think that since you raised the question you should ask your fiancé or the lawyer the "why" questions.

As far as getting an RFE we can't predict that based on the little information that you know thus far. Again, discuss with your fiancé whereupon you will have more information to answer your questions.

Hi. One example is the Beneficiary's Address history. It is asking for the last 5 yrs., and knowing that I am an expat for 4yrs only. He should have included my former address in the Philippines which he didn't. Also, I saw on the form about the Beneficiary's parents date of birth. He didn't ask me that also.

Got the text our NOA1 is on the way Friday, and they cashed my check the same day. I'm excited for some wedding planning during the long wait now at least.

Don't make any non-refundable plans.  You never know when the visa will actually be issued.  The US Government strongly advises against making plans until a visa is in hand.  They will not accommodate you if you lose money or have other difficulties because you made plans without a visa in hand.

Yep, we're eloping in a state park, so if it's not done by end of the year I just need a new $30 permit :)
