My date is January 16 and still have not heard anything. It looks to me that most January cases have been approved. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do?

You are within normal processing time.  More patience.

As of today 5/13 we were at 114 days and starting to wonder.

I called today (thanks to this thread)

And was on hold for almost an hour until I finally got through to a helpful guy named Jacob.

He needed the WAC# and some other simple things and he checked our status and said we were approved 4/30!!!

He said NOA2 can take up to 30 days to get to us in the mail. But at least we have some good news.

🙌

Which number did you call? And how did you get through to the operator? My fiancé will try as well

thanks

Follow the prompts

1 for English etc

it was pretty self explanatory.

Then at the end I pressed 3 to be connected to a person "to update  address or other questions" (or something to that affect) and waited patiently for 58 minutes until I was connected and he asked some simple questions.

Verify my name address phone number email birthdate (I am the US petitioner he asked nothing about my fiance)

And he asked how he could help me and I asked if there was any updates and what was the status of my case.

He put me on hold for about 2 minutes and came back and said we were approved.

I asked if the NOA2 could be emailed or if he could give me any other info pertaining to it...

He said he cannot. If we don't receive it on the mail within 30 days to call again.

Sorry that got a little long winded lol

@Rob and Sandy

Thanks for the detailed info, my Fiance is just too scared to be a nag to them, but only she can really call as she's in the US. Otherwise i'd call their phone red hot! (Not really, just dramatizing it) at least we could know if our case has any kind of progress, our case is within South African timeline trends, but an Update would put our minds at ease

Thanks!

I called today. There is no change in the status so far. The lady said that the processing time for this particular USCIS office in California is 5.5-7.5 months, so the case is still within processing times. 😒

I called NVC today and she provided me the invoice # and case #. However, I tried to check but it says case # is invalid. :(

Go to ceac.state.gov and choose "immigrant" and then enter your case number that will produce the whereabouts of your case.

There is a lot more information if you were to join the May 2019 NOA2 to NVC thread. Download the PDF from the first post in the thread and scour the information for tips, tricks and hacks.
