We sent: photos with dates indicated on them; passport stamps; flight itineries, as well as emails sent between us and birthday cards/Valentine's day cards and so forth.

For the RFE of meeting within the last two years, we found some more pictures of us with landmarks in them (one of our recent trips was to Disneyland, and we also had park entrance tickets with our names on them to go with the photos of us in front of the castle etc) as well of photos of us with each other's families. We also sent a few affidavits from family members, and screenshots of emails/WhatsApp chats we've had about our recent trips together.

Do park entrance tickets show the date? Understand they are not so much looking for "have you ever met?" but WHEN did you meet. Pictures with dates written on them is not a proof. Itirenary is not a proof. Passport stamps are better. Boarding passes/baggage tags are better. If Disney tickets show name and date including the year, they should be good.

Hi there - thank you for the help. Yes, the tickets had our names and the date we went into the park on them. We tried to hunt out any kind of documentation that referenced an official date and our names on from the last two years. We didn't have much, but we had a few things like the Disney tickets -- and we also sent copies of passport stamps against. We tried to follow what the RFE requested exactly, which is why we also sent the affidavits and more photographs of us from the last two years.

I'm just kicking myself that I didn't document things more! I didn't really think about having to prove the validity of our relationship to this extent -- and now I'm just mad at myself about all those opportunities where I could have gathered some more evidence over the last couple of years!

Don't be. They are just looking at very factual thing. All we sent for 129F are baggage tags with my names and destination on it and passport stamps, and just a few pictures. I lost boarding passes in an unfortunate laundry accident and panicked as well, but it seems combination of passport stamps and checked in luggage tags was sufficient. I think if your disney tickets show name and date, as passport stamps are  clear enough to show dates, it should be good. Hope you hear something good soon!

Hey guys,

I got my I129F approval on the 2nd of April but I still haven't received any letter from NVC. I know I could call and ask for case number but in UK the embassy page says to not schedule a medical appointment/interview until letter has been sent with directions.

I'm getting a bit impatient as I thought this would be a quicker process. Do you know more or less how long they take to contact me via mail with the letter?

Thank you so much.

The I-129f is not approved by NVC. It's approved by USCIS and you receive a NOA2 from USCIS. Then it takes your case about a month to travel to NVC from USCIS where you case number is assigned. The case number usually is released 1-3 weeks after receipt. Then your file is cued for shipping. Shipments leave NVC every other week and the next shipping date is tomorrow.

For more information on what to expect once your file reaches your consulate you want to be in the UK sub-forum where all the details are discussed for interviewing in the UK.  http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

Here is what your embassy states:

Please do not schedule an appointment unless you have received your appointment letter from the National Visa Center [you will not get an appointment letter from NVC because you are a "non-immigrant" visa applicant. If you see a letter referring to scheduling, just ignore it as it has nothing to do with you] or, if your application is being processed by the IV Unit, you have been advised that your case file has been received in the Immigrant Visa Unit, London. [this is the stage you will be at once your file ships and your file status changes to "ready" as I had addressed above.]

As of today 5/13 we were at 114 days and starting to wonder.

I called today (thanks to this thread)

And was on hold for almost an hour until I finally got through to a helpful guy named Jacob.

He needed the WAC# and some other simple things and he checked our status and said we were approved 4/30!!!

He said NOA2 can take up to 30 days to get to us in the mail. But at least we have some good news.

🙌
