It depend on your embassy. Some allow the PC to be "current" if it's not 6 months old others say 1 year. Check with your P3 or ask over in your subforum where there are others from UK that are experts and can answer a question like that.

Hi everyone 😊. I am the petitioner and I filed the I-129f for back on January 10th and already got my NOA1 but there’s still something that’s bothering me. So here’s the problem, I last visited my fiancé on January 30th 2017 and I filed the the I-129f on January 10th 2019 ,  does that meet the 2 year meeting requirement? I know it’s within the the 2 years but I’m scares it’s too close .  Do you guys think we could be denied because of that ? Thank you so much in advance 😊

The two years would have been January 30, 2019, so you should be fine. I wouldn't worry :)

Awesome!! Glad you were able to visit SA! Things are going well, during this waiting process. My fiancé is currently here in the States, visiting. I’m hoping to make it over the pond soon to visit his family.

Hi Everyone, I'm a January Filer for my I-129F, well my Fiance filed on the 23rd of Jan. Does anyone know how the USCIS processes their batches of the petitions? I know that they process them in batches and would like to know if i could get an Indication as to when January filers could expect to have theirs looked at?

P.S Has anyone filed late last year that has an NOA 2 yet? just curious...

Thanks

No one's ever been able to figure out any real pattern in how USCIS processes petitions, other than it's about two months from when a non-trivial number of approvals start coming in for a month to when they start trickling off to people whose cases for one reason or another take significantly longer than average.

The best estimate you're going to get is probably the one on your VJ timeline (which will change over time as petitions with NOA1 dates closer to yours are approved). But NOA1->NOA2 processing times can change a lot over time. They went up a lot in the first half of 2017 (from about 4 months on average to about 6.5), and have gone down a lot in the 2nd half of 2018 and early 2019 (down to under 5 months on average now).

Thanks Dave, still figuring things out, it's just over a month now so I'm still learning how it all works!

The best tools are waiting here on VJ for you to use to predict where your case is in the process. First we need you to do some housekeeping.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Tool Tip 1: Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Tool Tip 2:  You can see the most recent approvals (of people who posted here and updated their timelines) here https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php

Tool Tip 3:  If you select your flag in your profile it's going to open up to a page with lots of information. In the middle upper part of the page you are going to see "Quick Links" then in the list select "Embassy Review" and you will be taken to a page where you can read what others have experienced at your Embassy and you can add your review. Once it is complete then cut and paste the URL for your review into this thread to share with everyone. This keeps the thread clean and tidy, and not only those who are here to see it but others who may not see this thread but would see your experience. A good interview will point out some of the hiccups that you experienced along the way and the highlights of your experience. These are very helpful. I am looking forward to your review and thanks for sharing.

I hope these will be helpful to you and others while you await your visa adjudication.
