We're still assembling our packet and will (hopefully) be mailing on January 24!!!

 

I never realized the amount of work that goes into assembling one of these packets and have tremendous amounts of respect for everyone who has ever filed one!

 

I can't wait to start talking to everyone here, from previous threads I've read through it seems like everyone is super helpful and experienced so I'm very happy I'm finally joining the community!

 

P.S. - I've began my timeline, but it's pretty sparse as of right now because we haven't mailed yet, but look forward to updating it as our journey begins!

I'm right with you! I mailed my packet this month on the 27th (Jan.). I can't wait!! My fiancé is coming from the UK, also.

So I filed our packet on the 26th. USPS tracking says it delivered on Monday the 28th. Just a waiting game now.

Hey guys! I wanna update my timeline correctly about NOA1. Our petition was "picked up" on January 28th according to USPS tracking. Once USCIS sends us a text or email to acknowledge receipt of the packet, may I check off NOA1 on my timeline (or do we have to wait for the hard copy in the mail)? Also, if we receive NOA1 in February, am I still a January filer?

I think VJ asks for the notice date on your NOA1 insofar as what to put in the NOA1 field in your timeline. The hard copy yes will have that information. You can always put what you want for dates in your time line and then once you get the hard copy update it again no big deal the timeline is a guide/tool only.

You can be both it's really up to you and where you feel the most comfortable.

Online status check says received January 25th!

I must say that the attitudes in general shown by you all are great, the key  and test for you will be to keep your attitudes just like this throughout your Visa Journey!!!!!! I know everyone is anxious and that's normal, but so far you all are doing great.

I also got mine delivered on the 28th! So we both are in the same waiting period. ☺️
