Hi ! can i upload the ds260 first or i need to upload the aos same time?

Hi! We completed DS 260 first, then I remember it took around 2 days to be able to upload AOS and Civil documents (I forgot how long after, but it was fairly quick).

Household sponsor is someone you financially support or someone that financially supports you, not someone that physically resides with you. Does your father claim you as a dependent on his taxes? If he doesn’t he would need to file an I-864 along with you. He would have to fall in one of the categories for household member on the I-864 to be a household member. Household members are your dependents/children and your husband.

Who May Be Considered a Household Member for Purposes of Form I-864A?
For purposes of this contract, one or more of the following individuals may sign the Form I-864A as a household member if at least 18 years of age:
1. The intending immigrant, if the sponsor seeks to rely on an intending immigrant’s continuing income to establish the sponsor’s ability to support the intending immigrant’s spouse or children;
2. The spouse, parent, child, adult son or daughter, or sibling relative of the sponsor, if that relative has the same principal residence as the sponsor; or
3. Any other individual whom the sponsor has lawfully claimed as a dependent on the sponsor’s most recent Federal income tax return even if that person does not live at the same residence as the sponsor. If more than one individual agrees to help support the sponsored immigrant, each individual must sign a separate Form I-864A.

Seems like they can use I-864A, but they will be counted as a household member and increase the amount of income needed to qualify.

Only add the one household member.

looks like you can have him complete I-864A, but he will count as a household member and income requirements will go up.

They are the same. Some people do not qualify for online processing. I was unable to get mine online. I had them mailed to me. No IRS stamp on documents. Full name and SS# are not allowed to be printed on transcripts anymore. Only partial name and social.

NVC accept all my IRS and joint sponsor IRS Tax year 2015-2016-2017 , but my wife get interview in February , did my wife really need to bring IRS or tax 2018 into interview or do not need to bring the Tax  of 2018 ? please help ... thankyou

If you have your tax return for 2018 it wouldn’t hurt to bring it, but if you don’t it is not mandatory before April 15th. I would walk with your 2018 W2’s though.

Hello!

I am behind most of you guys by a few weeks, but I was curious as to how NVC assigns case numbers as far as order goes if anyone knows.  Is it assigned in chronological order from when received like USCIS, or does it depend on your processing center and country’s embassy? I’ve seen some people receive case numbers faster and some slower with the same NVC received date.  Thanks!

@SM&RM

Does anyone know the answer to this question?

Got our case number this past Thursday (24th) and immediately paid the fees on that night.

Anyone know how long they take to process the payments?

The website does not allow you to proceed any further until the payment is accepted

Did you skip filling the DS-261, or you did at once filling and paying the fees?
