So, we are supposed to upload our "IRS Tax Transcipts" to CEAC for our Affidavit of Support Financial Evidence.

But, it never specifies if it wants the "Tax Return Transcripts" or the "Tax Account Transcripts".

It seems like the "Tax Return Transcript" is more detailed about my income, and since we are trying to show evidence of our income numbers, I think this is what they want.

Does anyone know for sure?

Okay, this is getting slightly confusing.

On the travel.state.gov site: (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-4-collect-financial-documents.html), in the COLLECT FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS Step, it says this (in red below):

"If you completed Form I-864I-864A, or I-864EZ and the income reported on this form or your tax transcript reflects income below the poverty guidelines for the year the form was submitted, submit evidence of your income. This can include the following documents:

  • For those who are employed by an individual or company, submit a photocopy of an employment letter, pay stub, or pay advance (direct-deposit receipt) that meets the criteria below:
    • Includes your name and the company’s name;
    • Is on signed, business letterhead (you cannot sign the letter yourself); and
    • Is issued within the last three months."

I don't understand any of those three things prove how much income I received?  I'll send it anyway, but i'm just perplexed here.

On the CEAC portal, it says this:

"

You are uploading FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN OR TRANSCRIPT on this screen.

Please attach or upload one of the following documents to show your Tax Returns:
Federal Tax Return, State Tax Return, W-2 or Other"

...So, do they or do they not want us to send them a Tax Transcript?  In the blue line above, it says the word Transcript.  In the very next sentence, it only mentions Federal Tax Returns, State Tax Returns, W-2, or Other.

They also asked for our IRS when we submitted everything already. It delayed everything for us. We could have been completed long ago.

We finally got case complete today after a lot of heartbreaking delays at the NVC due to documents being rejected.

Nov 18 - Submitted all paperwork for the first time on CEAC.

Nov 30 - All documents accepted except for the police certificate. I realized we only uploaded the state certificate and missed the federal one, so re-uploaded on the same day without calling NVC for clarification. Both types are required for Brazil.

Dec 13 - Police certificates rejected again! This time I called and was told that the state report was issued from the wrong authority. We also realized that my husband would require a certificate from São Paulo state since he lived there recently, but he was unable to get it online since he does not have a SP state ID and no longer lives there. We were told by the NVC to write a letter explaining this and upload to CEAC.  Uploaded new state police certificate and letter on Dec 17.

Jan 4 – Police certificate file accepted, but letter about São Paulo rejected! Called again, and was told that we only needed to change the document type on the drop down menu on CEAC from “Other” to “Police Certificate.”

Jan 17 – Finally get the documentarily qualified email.

TLDR: Even though we are all in a hurry to get things done quickly at this point after the long USCIS wait, read through the document requirements very carefully! I highly recommend calling if you have an issue rather than just guessing how to correct it based on the very limited info NVC supplies when they reject documents. We wasted a lot of time for careless and frustrating mistakes.

I may be missing a couple of vaccinations. Should i say no to the question on form DS260? If so do i wait for the medical and then get the correct vaccinations then

That is what i would do and explain in the box what you will do

Well, NVC accepted all my documents but I haven’t received the “ducumetarly qualified” email 😩

Congrats.  Hopefully, we are right behind you.
