Just that they wanted more documents .. they requested extra pictures of us, passport stamps showing when.l I traveled there, all our messages from 2018

its so weird because they looked at my case the 2,3 and 4th of January last week.

Oh wow you are still waiting as well. So are we. We were approved on dec 3rd and heard nothing for 2 weeks. Then sent an email to the emabssy they changed the status of our civil docs on ceac to marriage certificate and birth certificate submitted at interview different from the one we brought to the interview. We got extra copies from the registrar that had different barcodes only difference. We uploaded the correct ones on dec 19th still waiting. The embassy never told us they needed those new docs the status just showed those documents were rejected in ceac. We've sent about 2 emails since then no response. Not sure what more to do but wait at this point

Wow how stressful!!! When did they last look at or update your case?

But the news says it's closed... Here is a part of the news..

The Trump administration, which marked one year in office, was paralysed from Friday midnight after the U.S. Senate failed to clear a funding Bill to finance the government, after a bitter standoff between Republicans and Democrats over immigration and spending could not be resolved in time.

Shortly after the shutdown was declared, the American centre in Delhi and those in Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai, which host cultural events and operate libraries, put out statements announcing that they would “remain closed until further notice”.

Why no one still took an interview date for the February? Does anyone know if the NVC keep scheduling appointment still? What if the shutdown doesn't resolve ?

I’m not sure if they are still working/scheduling interviews.

probably worth giving them a call. I was gonna call them end of the week

The answer is right there in your quote, “American centre in Delhi and those in Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai, which host cultural events and operate libraries.”

It’s posted on Mumbai Consulate Twitter that they are not closed and just above mentioned sections are closed. Mumbai Consulate is still working, scheduling and interviewing. It’s just “Extra and Un-Necessary” Stuff has been shut down.
