Case Complete: September 27, 2018 !!!!!

STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE INTERVIEW DATE FOR THE MUMBAI CONSULATE! I think there are a group of people being skipped over and I have no clue what to do.  Customer service at NVC is absolute trash.

Anyone else on the same boat still?

Its very sad.  My cc 8/8/2018 PD: 11/1/2017  Lagos embassy.  I’m still waiting.  I think I’ve pretty much done everything.  Waiting to hear from my congressman, hoping to get some good news from them.

I just talked to a "supervisor" lady at the NVC who was even less helpful than the regular customer service people. I didn't think it was possible to be any LESS helpful!  At a loss of things to do. I contacted my congressman as well with no response yet.

Wife's interview was in Dhaka, Bangladesh at 8:30 am . It was extremely short. Less than 1 minute! These are the questions:

1) Is this your first marriage? Yes.
2) Your Husband's? Second.
3) Do you have your husband's Divorce Decree? Yes. Handed the Paperwork. He glimpsed at it for 5 seconds.
4) Your husband changed his first name. Do you have any paperwork showing that? Yes. She provided the court order for name change. The Interviewing Officer told her "That's all." You can pick up your visa in two weeks.

Did not ask for any paperwork at all. Not even the signed Affidavit of Support!! She left the Embassy at 11:30 am. At 4 pm same day, the status changed to "Issued."

In Bangladesh, it takes only 2 days after the status shows "Issued." We are expecting a text tomorrow for Passport pickup.

Congratulations man. The wait is over for you.

I am also from Bangladesh and waiting at the NVC stage. Hopefully, it gets done soon.

Congratulations to everyone that was approved and also to the ones that just received interview dates.

I called my congressman office to find out the status on their inquiry to NVC.  I was told the they got a reply back saying that I am still in line for interview and they want to be fair and cannot expedite my case. So the lady for the congressman office said for me to contact her back in 60days if by then I still havent got an interview date. I am done with these people.

I know is not easy, my mindset is it will definitely come .... I don't know what being fair means in this situation...
