Thanks for your information, but i applied in January 2018 and my interview was in 2nd December 2018, when i check my case status online in CEAC it appear as Administrative Processing and last time it is updated on 13 December 2018 & it is not updated again....

Like @Roel said it can take a while.  No one here knows exactly what they are looking for or how long it will take to do what they need to do.

You will have to just patiently wait it out.

Hello,

Could anyone let me know how long it will take to finish Administrative Processing for US K1 Fiance Visa here in Kabul, Afghanistan? they consular put my case in Administrative Processing and for about 20 days it is not updated.

AP is what is considered a black hole because no one can give you an answer on how long it is going to take, if you see the CEAC case status change from Immigrant visa to non immigrant visa then you can start to get excited that means it is nearing the finish line.

Good luck in your journey.

When I put immigrant  visa on the CEAC website it says AP and when I put non immigrant visa it says when the case  was created  which was April and then no status ? My fiancé’s interview was In April and we have been in AP for 9 months.

So am I near the finish line possibly or what do you mean by changing from immigrant to non immigrant ?

when selecting immigrant visa, and you put the nvc case # in, if that one changes to non immigrant than you know you are near the finish line.

what happened at the interview? was there additional documents required?

Okay thanks. My fiancé’s interview went well. At the end of the interview, they gave him the yellow card and asked him to put all our photos in a photo album and also to bring more phone/ chat logs. He turned it in about a week later and now we are just waiting. They haven’t asked us for anything else.

Did they take your Fiance Original Passport at the End of Interview? and what they told you Fiance? and what kind of Card the Embassy give him/her at the End of Interview?

No they didn’t take his passport. They gave him a yellow card and told him to wait 6-8 weeks but it has been 9 months.

Hello Everyone;

I received email from US Embassy about my K1 Fiance Visa. my visa Case updated 2 times in one week.

Email of Embassy: (We have reviewed Department records and can that a consular officer suspended action on your immigrant visa case under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for administrative processing.  We will notify you when this process has completed and the case is ready to move forward.

We continue to work to streamline the visa process where possible, while ensuring that applicants are both qualified for a visa and do not pose a security risk to the United States.  While we cannot predict when the processing of the visa will be completed, please be assured that the Embassy and the Department of State are aware of your concerns and will do all we can to see that the processing of the case is concluded as soon as possible. Please note that this is an important part of the process that can be neither waived nor expedited)

Could anyone help me what that mean?

The case is in AP. It cannot be waived nor expedited, and no ETA can be given. They are telling you to wait.
