• A recent spate of traditional vehicles blocking TeslaSuperchargers has some drivers comparing the practice to "rolling coal."
• One Tesla owner told Business Insider a group of truck owners harassed them in the parking lot of a Sheetz convenience store in North Carolina.
• CEO Elon Musk said recently that the company is working to expand the charger network across the nation.

Tesla drivers are reporting a spate of "ICE-ing" (an acronym from Internal Combustion Engine) by large trucks at Superchargers across the country.

In one instance, Reddit user Leicina said a group of trucks blocked all of the charging spots while chanting "F Tesla" before being asked to leave by an employee of the store.

Like most superchargers, the location where the incident occurred - behind a Sheetz convenience store in Hickory, North Carolina, about 40 miles northwest of Charlotte - isn't on land owned by Tesla. Rather, it's leased from third-parties, giving the company no control over how the Supercharger spots are used from day to day.

The folks blocking commerce  and the free use of private property to make a cultural statement sound like Stalanist to me.

Sure, it is wrong that these charging stations are being blocked, it is also wrong that EV owners get a tax credit for buying a luxury item.  You know what they say about two wrongs.

One "wrong" came from our process of making laws around tax policy. I suppose you could oppose tax credits and deductions for the poor, energy savings, local taxes, accelerated investment depreciation and education. If you oppose the law, work through the system. Don't intimidate people who take the deductions.

I did.  I voted for a person that hopefully will not extend the tax credits.  As to those blocking the charging stations, I believe there are police around that are paid to deal with that type of situation.

Or we could not excuse their behavior. I am thinking of a Tesla this year. I would hate to think I need to start packing to protect my right to travel.

I believe I said what they were doing was wrong, but peaceful protesting is allowed in the country.  In fact it happens all the time.  As to shooting protesters, those police may just be going after you at that point.
