Sorry guys, what's the difference between USCIS website and myuscis?

I meant the case status tool on the website versus myuscis which is a personal account on the website.

I tried to expedite but I was denied. Our evidence wasn’t out of the ordinary but I thought it was solid. Frequent trips (every 2-3 weeks), I made my husband beneficiary to my life ins policy, authorized user to my credit card and included photos of when we were dating, with our families and our wedding. He  was in the US for 13 years as a student and then on a work visa but I did not include that in the application and I don’t know if that really helped. I’ve read similar cases where the spouse had prior US visas and their cases werent approved any faster.

Oh wow, that was pretty solid evidence. Well done!

I think https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ is the newer platform for IOE receipts, and https://egov.uscis.gov/ has essentially the same information- available to all.

Hey guys,

You might be interested by this below. Since Potomac has slowed down a lot and California Center was notoriously backlogged... They just unloaded a huge pile of I-130s to the other 4 service centers (that includes Texas of course) .

"We transferred some of the following cases from the California Service Center to the Potomac Service Center, the Texas Service Center, the Nebraska Service Center and the Vermont Service Center..."

I posted this in the wrong Texas thread by accident but update time!

So it turns out that USCIS actually just forgot about us. My husband was finally able to get transferred to a tier 2 rep today and she said that our case status internally was still set to "in background check" even though the results came back in APRIL. So our case has just been sitting there since then and would have been stuck for who knows how long if we hadn't been able to get through to a tier 2 because clearly our case inquiry didn't do diddly-squat.

Anyway, she escalated our previous case inquiry so fingers crossed we hear something soon because dang it has been a long enough wait. For now I am just so relieved to hear that we aren't stuck in background checks.

"We have had to perform additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently with an adjudicating officer."

Got my NVC number today, few minutes ago actually.

Thought I'd provide an update on my situation if there's anyone out there comparing and estimating.

Centre/Center: Texas, SRC number.

Visa: CR-1

Country: United Kingdom (Scotland)

Spouse is a US Citizen.

  • 2018-11-07 - Marriage.
  • 2018-12-12 - I-130 mailed.
  • 2018-12-14 - Priority Date.
  • 2018-12-24 - NOA1 received.
  • 2018-12-28 - Filed to change the Date of Birth for the Petitioner on the NOA1 as it was off by one year. Guessing a data entry mistake on the part of USCIS.
  • 2019-01-15 - Date of Birth changed.
  • 2019-07-03 - Actual Approval date.
  • 2019-07-05 - Date I received an email notification about the approval.
  • 2019-07-09 - Case sent to NVC. Received approval/NOA2 letter in mail.
  • 2019-07-16 - NVC received case - I called them to confirm this and get the date they received it.
  • 2019-08-07 - NVC case number created. dissecting the number it looks like it was created yesterday. Can't login yet, can take up to 72 hours. Going to try every so often.

Hi,

Texas filer here for consular processing.

We received our NOA2 on May 17th from the Texas Center. Still no NVC case number/IIN. I called the NVC phone line twice, after waiting approx 40 min each time, they told me our case file is not in their system, yet  they failed to inform me whether NVC received the case or not. I sent an email to the Nvcresearch address with a scan of I-797 past week, again no response so far.  I am planning to call USCIS to reach a tier 2 rep to inquire whether our case was sent out or not.

Any advice or tips? It has been 12 weeks and our case is stuck in some bureaucratic limbo.

Thank you so much in advance for your replies.
