I see a lot... we did just receive and RFE for “intial” evidence and we are trying to wrap are heads around what they want since we submitted every they ask to a T when it was sent in. So now we are waiting for the letter they sent.

It's possible they've lost one of the things you've already submitted. I see that being pretty common for RFE requests.

Same with me and my wife. My NOA1 was the 24/12/2018, I'm hoping I don't get any RFEs -- we sent a lot of stuff, I just hope none of it was lost -- just waiting now as I see other approvals. It's hard not to feel resentful about people who happen to  have got Potomac who with similar NOA1s are at the end of the NVC stage, or those doing Direct Consular Filing or LPR/Greencard holders for some bizarre reason having lower estimates.

Yes and I hope for your sake too ..no RFE’s it certainly feels saddening ... I break down often because we have been married 3 yrs this summer and haven’t “lived” together yet. I just got to be thankful we are only 5.5 hours away from each other and I keep busy with my older daughters and work

What did you expect to see by coming here? This is a thread for discussing things related to being a Texas filer and sometimes that includes feeling resentment towards Potomac. I'm sure there are similar posts to the one you quoted in the Nebraska thread aimed at both Texas and Potomac.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

I completely understand your resentment and would feel the same way. Though the advantages of Texas while a few are negligable to the advantages of Direct Consular Filing, Potomac or those on the Electronic Test Pilot.

Direct Consular Filing seems to reward people -- citizens -- who aren't even living in the country right now.

My NOA1 was 24-12-2018, people at Potomac with a similar date have completed the NVC stage at this point and have scheduled interviews. People at Potomc who filed in January, February and March have been approved at this point.

Also this guy at Texas, can't help but feel resentment for him he filed in April was on some Electronic Test Pilot and got approved pretty quickly.

There's been a few approvals from November and December but nothing too much -- https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=3&option=1&sortby=2

Thank you!

No online update so far, only got the letter today.

Congratulations! (L) So I guess the VJ 7-8 month average is pretty spot-on...

As a side note, I'm not sure I'm comforted (as in, perhaps one day I will have a nice surprise waiting for me in the mailbox) or disconcerted by the fact that the USCIS online system is so slow to update lol

Haha!

My online status changed yesterday to Sent to department of state, so one week after the approval.
