Hey everyone,

I just got my NOA1 with a message that it will be processing in Texas.

Just a few questions.

They also sent me a mail with some of my documents that I sent them (marriage certificate and my wife's birth certificate) saying that they uploaded the documents but they wanted us to have it back even though they are copies. Is this normal?

Also. I checked on the uscis website and I saw that they uploaded SOME of my documents but not all. Half of the Bonafide marriage stuff is missing. Is this normal?

Thanks!

Hey, I’ve heard some people say they’ve received some docs back. I didn’t but it appears to be normal. Also, I only see one random document uploaded (my passport page). This is also normal not to see all the docs.

Congrats on starting your process and good luck to you both! Be sure to pack your patience :)

Hi, can you educate me on where you saw your documents uploaded? I thought this only happened at the NVC stage. Did your case number start with IOE?

Yes my case number started with IOE. When USCIS send your NOA 1 they also send a paper prompting you to make an account (if you haven’t done so already) and link your petition for updates. Under the case status section it’s a section for documents sent to you and uploaded by them. It’s there, but not all documents will show.

Good morning everyone!! So I wanted to give a little background information and ask a question.  See my PD and so forth below:

NOA1: 3/1/19

Error Correction Sent: 7/24/19

Expedite Request Called: 7/25/19

RFE Received: 7/26/2019

Whew!! After typing all of this information, I was wondering especially for those of you that have surpassed this process, what does this mean when you receive this notice?  Does this mean that I can now call NVC or do I still need to wait before I can receive my NVC Case Number?

That notice means that USCIS has sent your petition to NVC. It will take a week or so for NVC to receive your case but yes, you can start calling them. Once the NVC receives your case it will take around 4 weeks (current processing times can be found here) for them to assign you a case number, so there's still a bit of a wait. I noticed that your I130 was expedited so I just wanted to give you a heads up that if you want your case to be expedited at NVC you'll need to request an expedite from them too (the one that you had was only for USCIS).

I've also linked the monthly NVC filers thread that you should check out if you haven't already. Everyone there is either waiting for their case number or uploading their docs and it's full of excellent information.

Hello

Yes I think it is normal. They don't upload everything but only what is the most relevant in your case. For the ITW, your wife will have to bring back all the documents in case they ask for it.
