Some questions I have please help :)

1. Once a case# is given has there been an issue where it was rejected (since NVC does a background check) or they only give out the case number once it’s ok and ready to ship out to the USEM

2. My fiancé finished his contract in Dubai and will be going him next week! Would it be best to get his medical done already since we have the MNL# or those have an expiration date and better off to be done once it’s in transit to the Philippines? (I ask this because his police clearance there has an expiration date)

I’m going to the Philippines to see him in April! So im really really hoping he has his interview by then 😓😓😓

thank u! This websiteand reading everyone else’s posts alleviates my anxiety *breatheeeee*

Perfect. Yea the length of time to get the police records caught me off guard. I'm glad I had her go take care of it early, or we probably would have ended up waiting on it. A lot of people do.

I just found out from Tali that hers took about a week, she asked for them last week and picked them up today. I don't know if it is different in other cities, but she is in Zaporozhye if it helps, so maybe it won't be as long as you thought. fingers crossed.

the only downside is that the consulate for Moldova in Odessa doesn't service Zaporozhye, so she will have to order her police certificate for Moldova from the consulate in Kyiv when she does her medical exam then pick it up when she goes back for her interview, and i guess her sister has her birth certificate and is sending it to her.

Yea Kris is supposed to be able to pick hers up on Friday, 10 days after request. I've seen some people that it was much longer though, so that's why I'm now recommending everyone just get it done as soon as possible.

I have never heard of a case number being rejected.  To the best of my knowledge they give you the case number then ship the packet to your consulate (US Embassy in Manila)

If you got the email from NVC with the case number then you can use that at St Lukes.  You will not be allowed to do the medical with the MNL number alone.

Have you received the email from NVC yet stationed your approved petition is being forwarded to the consulate in Manila?

the way they explained it to me...........paper copy is the actual approval date, and the 1/28 website date is the date they mailed it to you.   Course, the website shows "approval date" and not mailing date, but that's what they told me.

Agreed! That's what I had in mind too all along so when I called USCIS on Wednesday and they were like No... your official approval is on the 28th... I was like Say it ain't so! 😫 but in all fairness, they are as reliable as a knife in a gun fight so I'm gonna go ahead and stick with the 25th as my NOA2 lol 😝
