All appointments were cancelled on Jan 24. I made my appointment on January 9 and my interview was on March 1. After 3 weeks of absolute no communication with the embassy, except for a generic email saying they were looking for an alternate processing post. They're not answering calls or emails at this point.

I emailed the Bogota immigrant visa unit today, just sent my name, didn't include any other info since I was afraid of affecting my case and asked them if it was possible to transfer and process my case despite not being a resident of citizen of Colombia.  They replied they were happy to receive my case and the transfer was already happening. In 2 hours the Ceac status changed to transfer in progress.

I was surprised because I didn't ask for the transfer just asked for info and they still transferred the case. Could it be they already had planned that?

I really can confirm or deny what is happening. Have you checked the Venz website for up dated details to what is taking place with visa's?

There's no info, and the embassy building in Caracas is completely empty with basically no workers. All the personnel was retired 2 weeks ago. And trucks were seen leaving the embassy with furniture and office equipment.

I found weird Bogota was willing to take my case, I called he NVC several times and they all said I couldn't do the transfer because I wasn't a citizen or resident of that country.  But Bogota still did it, I left clear that I wasn't a resident or citizen but they didn't mind.

They may be the designated embassy to take up Venz visa processing. I think you should just be happy that you are not being stalled because of the environment in Venz. Be positive and make this happen so you can be in each other's arms soon.

I don't but this link will lead you to a great thread that a lot of information is available. If you get a copy of the P3 if you could share a copy with me whereupon I can use it to help others who come behind you. Just PM here on VJ with the copy. Thanks.

Here is a recent discussion on what is needed. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/641246-what-should-i-do-for-the-next-step/

Sure thing, will share a copy with you once I have it. Many thanks Greenbaum for the link!

Oh , I'll try but it sucks that after all the wait now I have to do other things too. And the process in Caracas seemed much straightforward than in Bogota. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Do you know if something like this has happened before recently?

I just received the email from the Embassy saying now I'm eligible to schedule the interview at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines.  If I'm correct I think this is considered Packet 3 for the Philippines which is not necessarily needed.  My interview is already scheduled.  There is a line that says " you should notify the Embassy by email once the DS-160 has been completed".

AOS Timeline (I-485, I-765, I-131)

1/08/2020:  NOA for all 3 applications

1/17/2020:  Received biometrics appt letter for the I-485 and I-765 (Code 3).

1/31/2020:  Biometrics completed

2/20/2020:  RFE

6/15/2020:  Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview

6/15/2020:  I-765 (New Card is Being Produced)

6/30/2020:  Received Combo Card in the Mail

We got NOA2 on January 18th. NVC has still not received our case and the NOA2 hard copy has still not arrived in the mail. Is this normal?

Our NOA2 according to the paper is January 26th. The NVC hasn't received our case, but I got the NOA2 hard copy less than a week after the approval date. You can request another copy after 2 weeks, so I think it might be worth calling to ask.

Right. But the original signature is based on embassy to embassy. Some require the "wet" signature and other a copy is fine. I recommend that you don't leave this to chance and email the embassy and ask. It could save your petitioner $$$$ in mailing fees.

I just received an email after asking the embassy in Argentina about this and they replied that every document including the form i134 can be presented as a photocopy.

Sigh. Called NVC again and they still haven't received our case. I know I'm just being impatient. I just have a hard time waiting. I refuse to call USCIS anymore because everyone I've talked to has given me different information and the people at the NVC are so nice. I was hoping we'd be in the February 19th batch, but it's starting to look like it'll be the beginning of March. Our NOA2 date is January 26th according to the paper, but January 28th according to the people on the phone at USCIS.

I got the same email. Did you send them an email saying you had completed the 160? I don't think it is necessary......but)) It would help if I read the letter all the way through)

It took 17 days for mine to get there but NVC was very quick to ship mine out to the Embassy.

That gives me hope! Honestly, it isn't the waiting, I just wish I had something to do in the meantime. My fiancé talked to the people at the embassy today and they're going to see if someone can send us a copy of the requirements for the p3, so at least that will give me something to do while we wait!
