NOA2:   1/18/2019

No receipt at NVC as of 7:30pm, 2/11/2019.

Day 27............and counting.

Feb 5, USCIS Tier 2:    "I'll open a case for you with California Service Center".

Feb 11:   Rec'd letter from CSC.   "Once an initial I-129F petition has been approved by the USCIC, it is forwarded to the NVC which is an entity of the State Department.   The State Dept. controls visa issuance.  Once with the State Dept, USCIS no longer has jurisdiction."    Essentially they go on to say, "Call NVC".   Same verbal story from a number of reps I spoke with.

Feb 11 call to NVC:   Me:   "Can you clarify if the USCIS sends the application to NVC immediately, and NVC may just be backed up, or does the USCIS hold them".   Rep:   "The USCIS has six weeks to send them to us.   We process them upon receipt."

LOL.........ok, SOMEONE's not being truthful !!!     😁

By putting his second last name on a different line they treated that as his "nickname" not is birthright name. Correct it at the embassy where you will have copies of his passport and birth certificate and you can explain what happened. You need it change at the embassy anyways because they will print the visa and it has to match the name in the passport. This is nothing to be concerned over. Your not the first nor will you be the last to make a mistake like this.

Thank you so much! How should we go about correcting it? Should i just have him all the embassy and explain ahead of time or wait until the case has arrived there?

I don't think they received it yet.  They told me they got nothing yet.

@Lana&Ivy @Spotify we have the same NOA2 date as both of you. My fiancé called the USCIS today (california visa center) who told us that our case was scheduled to ship out today and should have been on it's way to NVC by EOD. @Lana&Ivy did anyone tell you why yours hasn't shipped yet?

The tier 2 agent I spoke with told me it's been "in the process" of shipping since Feb 5 but that it is still at the CSC.  That was at 1pm EST.  I have no idea what that process is, but she assured me that things were happening.  I really don't think we're making the Feb 19 NVC shipment date.  Disappointing.  She had zero explanations as to why it's taken so long.

Strange that the process of shipping takes 6 days. I'm considering getting my fiancé to call again tomorrow just to confirm ours was shipped today as I don't really trust the system. Please keep us updated on your status.

I called last Friday (Feb 8), and Tier 1 told me that it was shipped that day... not sure how true it is.  They told me it was shipped that day so NVC should have gotten it.. I'm like uhhhh???

How do you talk to tier 2? Ask for a supervisor???

I said: "I would like to speak with a tier 2 agent please"

He said: "I have all the same access as a tier 2 agent.  I can see what they can see"

I said: "I would like to speak to a tier 2 agent please"

He said: "Hold on while I transfer you call to the next level" (or something)

Then I waited about 5 minutes until a tier 2 agent came on the line.

I've called USCIS a number of times, and spoke to a number of different levels.   Frankly, I think talking with those folks is a complete waste of time based on the various answers I've rec'd from the different levels.

Apparently, it does take around a week for shipment. USCIS told us that our case is in transfer as of 4th of February (NOA2 January 18th). When I called NVC last Thursday they still didn't have it. I'll try again today. Hope to hear good news finally.
