Yes, I remember seeing your timeline where the DS-160 was done submitted well in advance of the NVC case number being assigned.   That's actually the first time I realized it could be done with the USCIS receipt number.   But somewhere along the line, I got the impression that either number could be used.  After now seeing the DS-160, I'm thinking the USCIS is the correct number, not the NVC case number.

I used the WAC number as well.

AND: I have a DS-160 question too:

"Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?"

I have documentation to establish I have received vaccinations in accordance with Canadian law, do they fall under US law too?  I think so, but I have no idea.  Is this a "yes" or a "no"?

The answer to this question will be yes. You will have the proper documentation for vaccinations after your complete your medical. I am not sure on the Canadian vaccination laws. but part of the medical is receiving all vaccinations required to immigrate to the US. and after the medical is complete they will provide you with the documentation. I hope this helps.

Thank you for this response. You answered my question before I could even ask. I have another question about the medical. I was told you have to do the medical at least one week before the interview to give time for the record to be transferred to the embassy. Is this true or does St Luke's give my fiance what she needs for the Embassy?

St Luke’s will hand you the medical after day two of the medical. You’ll hand carry it to the interivew. The only time they will send the documents themselves is I believe after the sputum treatments. It’s advised to to the medica as close to the interview appointment as you can as the experation of the visa is dictated by the date of the medical not the date of the intierview. I’m doing my medical Monday and Tuesday with my interview on Thursday. So my visa will expire 6 months from Tuesday. But someone else that did their medical 3 months ago... will only have 3 months remaining before the visa expires.

So i have noticed that our i129f petition record of my mother's name was wrong.. We input my my mother's married name, but unfortunately when my mom was trying to get her passport, she needed to submit a marriage certificate which she couldn't obtained because there was no record (i know!)...they really got married so im not sure who's fault is this.. Anyway my mom ended up getting a passport using her single name.. And have been using that ever since.. So now.. My question is.. I need to input my mom's name again in ds160.. Should i correct it? And maybe email the Embassy and explain this? Im afraid if i change it.. The Embassy will see the discrepancy of our i129f and the ds160...

But if i dont correct now....it will be problem in the FUTURE in case i want to petition my mom..

Thoughts?....

Greenbaum, can I hit you up once again on this DS-160?   Under Travel Information, the DS-160 asks specifically for the USCIS receipt number.......see below.    Is this where we have the option to put either NVC case number or USCIS receipt number?   I did not see where the NVC case number is specifically requested on the entire application.

Here is another quark. It's been reported that you can use the WAC#, your case number or leave it blank. But, the true answer is the USCIS NOA1/2 receipt number otherwise referred to as the WAC#.

@Greenbaum do you know the average wait time for the Visa after approval if you are picking it up at 2GO in Manila? I'm curious because my fiance also has to do the CFO class and we are wondering if it's easier for her to take that while she waits for the visa.

Once it is released from USEM it's a day to MOA. Call ahead to confirm. I think the phone number is in Hank's website instructions. If you take CFO without the passport then you must return to any CFO or NAIA airport to collect the CFO sticker to be placed in the passport. Up to you.

I have documentation to establish I have received vaccinations in accordance with Canadian law, do they fall under US law too?  I think so, but I have no idea.  Is this a "yes" or a "no"?

When you complete your medical exam you will have met the vaccination requirements so your answer is YES.

Whatever is the LEGAL name of your mother is the name that MUST be used. Wrong or right. This visa is for you guys and not your MOM so follow the instructions and put the truth as the answer to the question. If the CO has a problem, which HIGHLY doubt, then they will issue a 221(g) affording you the opportunity to correct it. But it is really a non-issue. Remember, the name on the BC is her LEAGAL name. If she marries then it changes to her marriage name if any part of her name has changed like her last name. This married name now becomes the LEGAL name. Relax. Your overthinking this process.

Now for the future it could be a problem for your mother because it is now her visa they are processing. So, since you have time she should go about getting her documents updated to show all LEGAL information to be true.
