Ours finally went "IN TRANSIT" from the NVC!

 

For the UK, can we schedule the medical and interview now as we have a case number? Or do we have to wait until it arrives in London?

UK here too and mine just shipped  You can schedule your medical right away but they ask you if you have your ACRO police certificate and if you have an interview date. You don’t need an interview scheduled it is just for them to get an idea of when to fit you in. 

 

When you call they’ll also ask for your case number, DOB, email and type of visa. There was a lot of availability when I scheduled mine and I got to just pick the date I wanted.

Just a heads up, sending a question via ask NVC on the website, results in you not having to call them but them sending you an e-mail saying they forwarded your application to the embassy.   hence the first step at the beginning of this post.

 

I filled out the ask NVC question form, the first e-mail I got 5 days later said they did not receive anything yet and it could take 6 weeks, fast forward to today they sent another e-mail saying they just sent the package to the Embassy.

 

So people do not have to call if they have they can wait, fill out the question form and send it off they will e-mail you when it has been sent.

So, I just checked the status again on CEAC and it says my case is tn transit!

I had checked earlier this morning an it still said at NVC, so if you folks have your NOA2s around 1/8 maybe you should check again before going to bed!

Did you ask to speak to tier 2 to find out?  We have the same date for NOA2. I'm debating whether I should call or not. 😂

From my experience of multiple calls, lol...I recommend calling the 0888 number.  I had the shortest wait time when calling that number

@Greenbaum This is such detailed information. I was wondering if you could please share similar information for the Sydney Australia Embassy?

 

Our case got a case number on 1/18 and was shipped out today (Per CEAC Case Status check). I am wondering what I should do now while we wait for the embassy to get our case. Can we schedule an interview now? or medical? I am just trying to stay ahead of the curve.

 

I am not still fairly new to VJ so my apologies in advance if I am asking a question that you may have answered already for this embassy. Any guidance you can share will be greatly appreciated

So it looks like 22 packets left NVC today at 3pm to go to the Embassy in the Philippines. I still have not received an email notice yet... but my status does say "in transit"

Heres the other countries that left today and the number of packets: 1- Abu Dhabi, 7- Mexico, 1- Peru, 2- Ghana, 6-Vietnam, 2- Hong Kong, 1-Lebanon, and 1 Indonesia..

FYI: So spoke with an NVC rep. She said as soon as you get an email, that indicates your file is being sent electronically
