I love USCIS. Having approved our petition 1 month ago, not ever notifying us, never ever sending us any update today they emailed me for the very first time. Please note our case is interview ready at the Embassy since Jan 24th....Jan 2nd must have been the day they shipped it to the NVC

Well, finally my fiance received package 3 from Kiev by email this morning, last action on our case taken at the is today and I am sure it was by a CO. So I am going to ignore this message, this is probably how the system works.

@Greenbaum I need some of your wisdom and your tips, I am trying to  figure out most of steps of this whole process. Now when I enter to USA with my fiancée visa and I want to get married I know both of us have to apply for a marriage certificate in Florida and I read this:

International Residents:

  • You may obtain your Florida Marriage License by our using our Florida Marriage License By Mail.
  • You may also obtain your Florida Marriage License at any clerk of court in the State of Florida.
  • Bride and Groom must have a valid photo passport.
  • If either party is from a foreign country and not a U.S. citizen, alien registration documentation, or other proof which contains an alien registration number is acceptable to obtain a marriage license.
  • If either party was previously married and divorced, the date of the divorce will be required. If the date of the divorce was within the thirty days prior to the new application for a marriage license, a certified copy of the recorded final order will be required.
  • There is no waiting period for international residents.
  • Most international counties require the bride and groom register the license at the local registrar office or government agency, please check with your embassy / consulate or appropriate office.

My questions is, I'll present my passport and what else? what is the alien registration number????

Thanks

It's me again, haha.

While waiting for the case number and then packet 3, I've gotten a head start on the i-134. I apologize if this is not the right thread for my question, but you guys seem extremely knowledgable and helpful - I'm hoping I can get confirmation and clarity on something I read here on VisaJourney. Someone said that the income requirements, presumably to be filled out on the "income and asset information" part of the i-134, is the total before taxes (gross income) and not after taxes. I'm a small business owner and this would make a tremendous difference for me. Beyond this one say-so, I haven't found anything to give me certainty on the matter. I'll attach a screenshot. If this is not in fact accurate, I'll have to have a co-sponsor, which I can get -but what frightens me is that while searching the answer to this question, I read from a few sources that the consulate in Indonesia does not allow for co-sponsors?!

It asks for AGI, adjusted gross income so before taxes, but the joint sponsor thing I'm not sure. Maybe an Indonesian filer can enlighten.

Has anyone else not been successful at calling NVC?

My fiancée has tried at least 4 times and wasn't able to go past the machine. She called around 7:15am every time.

Anything we're missing? Our NOA2 is 1/8 and no news whatsoever ever since.

Has she tried emailing AskNVC?

Hmmm... here I found someone saying it is gross, but after deduction? Isn't gross after deductions a contradiction? Wouldn't that just be net? I've read through the i-134 instructions a few times - maybe I'm blind, but I don't see anything on there to clarify. Sometimes I feel like VisaJourney is my only help 😅. I'm really hoping I can put income before deductions, to spare the necessity of a co-sponsor.

If your fiance keeps hearing the robot say everyone is "busy", have her hang up and redial until she ears the robot saying something different.

It takes me about 2-3 tries before I get through !
