Olga, my first and most important advice.......take Greenbaum's advice.  If he suggests you update the emails, go ahead and do that.   I have followed along with his instructions, and it will help you significantly to understand the process.    Now, with regard to that first and very simple step, go to the website, add in all your information, and you'll notice it only asks for Petitioner email..........so in the text message box, tell them to also include your beneficiary email.   (if you guessed I got that info from Greenbaum, you'd be right)

Next, you got your NOA2 on January 18.   Based on my calculations (from the spreadsheet that GB informed us about in the start of this thread) I found out that on average it takes about 14 days to get to NVC.   So if you don't get an NVC email within 14 days, you can start calling the NVC to get your "case number", and again, GB told us those numbers at the beginning of this thread.   You can use your case number to track your case progress.   Once it says "ready" then, you want to know when it goes to the Embassy.

I've heard "ready" means it's leaving the NVC, and I've heard "ready" mean it's arrived at Embassy.   Not sure which is correct.    Let's say it's leaving the NVC when it says "ready".   Then, you can use the DHL tracking to see when it arrives at your Embassy.

After that, you'll get Packet 3, and just follow those instructions.

Now all of these instructions are basically for impatient people like me, who want to know as much as possible as frequently as possible.   You always have the option to do nothing, as Greenbaum mentions, and just wait until you get Packet 3 then follow what they tell you.

for people impatient like me,lol

is the packet 3 sent by nvc? is it via email or mail?

for updating the email can i, the beneficiary, can log in or fill up on the website? or it should be the petitioner?

@Greenbaum I just want to know if I will be receiving physical letter/email from NVC about our case that includes our case number? Is NVC letter the same as Eligibility letter? Should we wait for those letter before we schedule our interview? Sorry for the noob question brother...😊

I'm the beneficiary by the way from Philippines. Just a little anxious here..lol

If you have the information I gave you with a number of links wherein there you will find the one for Hank's website. Here is what he states and this is working just fine for everyone for USEM. I suggest you begin to read the links and that way you are up to speed.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Waiting for your CEAC status to show READY will not cause you delays as you can schedule your interview much sooner knowing that your case file is already at the embassy.
Embassy Eligibility Letter - The embassy has finally started to use email to send out the "eligibility letter" .    If you would like to read a copy click HERE .
- LETTER FROM NVC WITH MANILA NUMBER
When you get the letter from NVC stating the MNL #, scan and email a copy to your fiancée to bring to St. Luke's.  Or if you received an email from NVC with the MNL # forward this to your fiancée for SLEC.

Before scheduling the interview you must pay the visa fee at BPI - details below.

After paying the visa fee you can schedule the interview online or by phone - details below.

Make sure to print three copies of the interview confirmation page/letter as you will need two (2) for St. Luke's, and one (1) for the embassy on interview day.

Current I-134 shows expire 11/30/2018. Any new version released yet? How long is this current version valid for?

Always use the official government website to retrieve your forms and you will ALWAYS have the most current form. Get a form from someplace else and you will open yourself to trouble. 11/30 is the most current form.

Hello! Quick question when you call to NVC is the applicant or the beneficiary that has to call?

Either...you just have to able to answer the questions they ask...I believe you have to know the WAC number, date of birth of you and your fiance. That is it! But it doesn't matter who calls!

Hummmm...so is there a fee I am supposed to pay as the petitioner?

Nope. But Moscow lets you pay the $265 visa application fee by credit card, so I could pay for my fiancée.

My usual thanks Greenbaum.  Can I submit Packet 3 at the "received" stage??

Oh, and noticed your comment on the I-134 above.   I've completed the I-134 expiring 11/30 since I had to mail it to Thailand from US and I expect to submit Packet 3 during February or early March.   Will they ding me on submitting that form, if they post a new one between now and Packet 3 submission?   (hoping there is some sort of grace period)

Q1 - refer to the P3 letter for instructions.

Q2 - Normally there is a grace period. Your mileage may vary.

The Invoice Id is the WAC# and can be used for the DS-160. This number is used when asked for as a "record locator" and is normally replaced with the usage of the Case Number once received from NVC. For the DS-160 you can use either, doesn't make a hill of beans difference.

Paid the visa fee and scheduled my interview for 14 Feb. I hope that's enough time for my packet to leave NVC 5 FEB and be Ready by the 14th. How long has it been taking for the packet to be ready at the embassy once its been received. Based on the last shipment it took the packets 6 days to get to the embassy. So if the same holds true to the next shipment they should arrive to the embassy on the 11th... Would that be enough time for my packet to be ready for interview on the 14th?
