Can you update your timeline and signature? It helps those of us who track other's timelines to help guestimate our own.

I see if I can answer them while :pop:.

Mission accomplished.

If not, how do we determine the "Shipper Reference" number and how will I know if my application is included?  If you go back and read the information in the ( ) it might be a little clearer.

Hate it when I'm an idiot.  Thanks for clarification.

Finally, people have mentioned going to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/th/th-steps.asp   to find out what appointment schedules look like.   I know that for K1, the embassy schedules the appointment, but is there anyway to use this site to check in advance how busy the embassy interview schedule appears? The embassy does not schedule the appointments. You schedule the appointment. There are just a few embassy's that do it for the beneficiary but I think it is one or two. (I don't recall which ones). My understanding in what I have read, you can go to that website and register and it will show you the schedule but will not allow you to schedule an interview. I have had no interaction with that website so I can't give you any further information. Maybe others here can help lead you.

I believe Bangkok is one of the select few.   Found the following on their website:

Once the Packet 3 documents are received and the case is determined to be documentarily ready, the IV unit will schedule the applicant’s immigrant visa interview.  The applicant will be informed via email through the Packet 4 Appointment Packet which provides further guidance on additional required documents including the medical examination. Generally, interviews are scheduled within 60 days of receipt of the Packet 3 information.......

Thanks so much for the quick reply.

Not sure I guess we answer NO to this question even though they were denied a visitor visa.

Does Kiev embassy in Ukraine require to bring a copy of I-129 packet ? Or are they just going to use the original one sent from NVC?

I'm thinking of just bringing some additional evidence to show that we communicated after submitting I-129 and that's it.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you in advance.

I will bring the whole I-129F file (copy) for my own purposes. They have the original. My copy is so neatly arranged in a very convenient file that I just want to go on using it (having photos removed and rearranged into an album) with new documents and evidence. Overall, new stuff is nothing if compared to I-129F package

My fiancee was denied for US visitor visa by the Embassy twice, same as you so we will be answering Yes to that question.   Hopefully, your "no" response can be simply addressed at the interview.

If we don't call NVC at all for the case number, will we still get an email from them?

The only time I got case number from NVC by e-mail is when our case was sent to Embassy. There was an e-mail with fancy RTF attachment, with NVC letterhead and all.

You should answer "YES" and just explain because they will be able to see in their database that you were denied a B1/B2 visa which is common.  It might be a strike against you if you withhold that information or they may brush it off.  It's best to be honest with everything.  You see there is a poster that did not disclose a misdemeanour arrest he had 30 years ago and he was denied during the AP phase after the interview even though he was told he was approved.

I asked them about the email when I called for my case number. They told me they would send an email once the case is sent to the embassy.

"Principal Applicant's Full Name "

I am filling out the "Ask NVC" page to get notifications from NVC and its asking for the principal applicant's full name as its written in his passport. My fiance has a patronymic name which I am sure is on his travel passport. My question is should I write down the patronymic name as well or just fill in first and last name?

I didn't write down the patronymic name on I-129f and we had no problems. Should I just not include it from now on ?

My patronymic name comes up sometimes and its confusing because some people accept it as a middle name and its not ! For instance, its shows up on my naturalization certificate, but not my driver's license.

What's funny is that the last time I called USCIS they asked what my middle name was and I had to tell them my patronymic name but I NEVER mentioned my patronymic name on the I-129 !

Also, I'm guessing DS-160 will ask for middle name as well, should I not put the patronymic name there as well ? Does that mean it won't be on his visa when it gets issued..it will just have his first and last name ?

"Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, or been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry"

You answer the question based on your situation.

1. Have you ever applied for a US Visa and been refused?

2. Were you ever refused admission to the US (you would of had to have a visa to attempt to enter the US)?

3. Have you ever withdrawn your application (visa) for admission at the POE?

If you answered yes to any one of those questions, then the answer is YES. If you answered NO to any one of those questions then your answer will be NO.

I have very consciously not used my patronymic anywhere in US for this very reason. It is not on my certificate of naturalization or SSN.  I would not put it in at all. Patronymic is not a middle name. Person doesn't have to have middle name. I am also pretty certain it is in fact NOT on external/international Ukrainian passport but that should be easy for you to check
