We would be in that same boat, two visitor requests denied.    Can you tell me where you saw that on I129F ?

Isn't that nice to see?    We have just about the same timing, although I don't have the paper copy yet, I did find my Jan 22 approval on my account.

Got my NVC case number today. They didn't have it yesterday so I assume the packet arrived yesterday and it was processed today.

I called them at 7am and they said they didn't receive mine.  I'm going to call them back again.  My NOA2 date is January 9.  Did they email you?

Noticed you submitted DS-160 immediately upon getting the hard copy of the NOA2.    Don't you need the NVC Case number to do the DS-160?

14 days from NOA2 to NVC case is pretty good timing.  Congrats.

No problem! While you wait on your case number being assigned you can gather the following things if you haven’t already. 

 

All of the below are listed on my confirmation email to bring to the medical:

Vaccination records

Medical Summary (Ask GP for patient summary/care summary. Not full history)

If you have any ongoing conditions (diabetes, depression, hypertension etc) then you need to bring an additional report from your doctor stating that and any meds prescribed. 

ACRO police certificate 

4 passport photos - can be UK or US sized. 

 

The medical is valid for 6 months

I believe I saw the answer to this, but now cannot find it in the 24 pages on this post.   For 1. above, I was able to get my email address added on the NVC site, but I did not see anywhere to add the beneficiary email address.   I put her address in the text part, requesting "Please add the beneficiary email......xxxxxxx".   Is there another way I was supposed to add that??  Yes. By adding her in the text box that should update her email information.  Please be aware that this sometimes works and sometimes it does not. So don't be surprised if you hear nothing from NVC.

 

For number 8 above, I'm assuming that we need the NVC case number, and cannot use the USCIS receipt number?? It only works with your case number that is assigned from NVC.

 

For number 9 above, will the NVC provide a DHL tracking number ?   No tracking number. This is just a hack and not official but it does give you an idea when it arrives to your embassy. Beware, that it will show the number of "packages" received and yours will be in that number but their is nothing that states that DanielPlainview's packet has been received only the grand total of all "packages".

 

If not, how do we determine the "Shipper Reference" number and how will I know if my application is included?  If you go back and read the information in the ( ) it might be a little clearer. Again, this is the total number of packages to your embassy and it is NOT your specific case that would be identified in the results.

 

Finally, people have mentioned going to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/th/th-steps.asp   to find out what appointment schedules look like.   I know that for K1, the embassy schedules the appointment, but is there anyway to use this site to check in advance how busy the embassy interview schedule appears? The embassy does not schedule the appointments. You schedule the appointment. There are just a few embassy's that do it for the beneficiary but I think it is one or two. (I don't recall which ones). My understanding in what I have read, you can go to that website and register and it will show you the schedule but will not allow you to schedule an interview. I have had no interaction with that website so I can't give you any further information. Maybe others here can help lead you.

 

If not, is there any other significance to that site? As I understand, no.

No, it accepts the NOA2 receipt number or the NVC Case Number. Its either or.

When you call they just ask if you have an interview date already (don’t have to have it yet but this is just so they can try schedule the medical before it), case number, type of visa you applied for, name and DOB, email address and ask if you have your ACRO police cert sorted. The dates were fairly wide open. I picked 22nd Feb but they had even sooner!

Here is information a more detailed explanation for the Medical Examination. You are required to bring the following for each person having a medical examination:

Original Passport or UK Driving License (photo card not paper license)                We do NOT accept copies of ID

4 X Identical Passport style photos - UK or US size (we accept UK or US sized photographs)

ACRO Police certificate (or a copy) dated within the last 12 months for anyone 16 years of age & over (if your police certificate is more than one page long please advise Visa Medicals ahead of your medical as you may need additional time with the Doctor. Vaccination records - Please provide a vaccination record for the panel to look over on the day to advise if any further vaccines are needed. A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category

Summary of medical history from GP (NOT full medical records) and reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing. This is a new requirement and may not yet be added to the checklist online or the US EMBASSY LONDON website. We will keep your medical on hold if you do not have it with you on the day of the appointment. Ask your GP for a Patient Summary/Care Summary.

If you wear glasses or contact lenses please bring them along to the appointment

If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc. * If your medical notes are very extensive (more than 10 pages) please inform Visa Medicals before you come for your medical. This required extra time with the doctor to go through your notes. If you do not inform us of this, you will be charged for an appointment slot for the doctor to read these notes.

Can you update your timeline and signature? It helps those of us who track other's timelines to help guestimate our own. 

I called this morning (my NOA date is 1 day after yours) and they didn't have mine yet, so maybe Monday will be my lucky day!

Sorry it is on the DS-160 form.
