Thank you!! Getting anxious now. I wish you had yours tomorrow 😩

Me too :( it was supposed to be today but turns out it was moved because it's a holiday and they forgot to gray out that day. I told my fiance I'm in mourning for the interview we almost had... and he proceeded to laugh 😪  lol Meh I'm a drama queen 😄

In all honesty, though, things happen for a reason. As much as I hate the words that are coming out of my fingers at this very second, it was actually a good thing it got moved. He's been having this tooth pain for a few weeks now and last week it got really bad and he ended up going to the dentist. He hasn't been able to figure out what's causing the pain but he's on antibiotics and they are doing a root canal and removing his molars etc so he's been in bed and pumped with meds. It would not have been a pleasant sight if he had been to the interview today. He still has at least one more appt with the dentist this week so he should be in tip top shape for his interview on the 5th. 🤞

Okay totally weird my fiancé was having major tooth pain last week and he went to the dentist and they said their drill didn’t work right so they just pulled one! Third world dentistry i guess 😩🙃 but yes everything happens for a reason! How soon after approval will your fiancé be flying out??

I had the same thing two weeks before I went to the Philippines last time!!! It went away after a day there. It was from grinding my teeth at night and did not know. Stress!!! We all need to quit stressing so much lol.

But yes tooth pain is no joke and is really painful...

haha we have a plan (as always lol):

IF he gets his visa before the 12th, then on the 13th.

IF he gets his visa after the 12th, then he will stay for Easter since it's a big thing for them there and all his family gets together so it will be a nice going away celebration, too. If this is the case he will fly out the Tue 23rd or Wed 24th right after Easter weekend.

IF he still hasn't gotten it by then, well shoot idk. I guess as soon as he gets it lol

AND YES TO THAT THIRD WORLD DENTISTRY! He just had a root canal and they don't use a protective cover on it. They just leave it open for a week for the swelling to come down. I'm like what?! Here they'll use the temporary crown until you get your porcelain one or whatever. Over there... nope lol let it be gone with the wind haha

I don't think they have a standard answer for this but to be safe I would print one paper for each page. Most formal documents are 1 page per document so I imagine the same policy applies.

Does this sound right to you guys? I have called the NVC three times now and heard the same answer from all of them, but it just seems so backward:

1. I need to pay the MRV fee (DS 160 completed). Like some other countries, I have to pay it in cash at a bank and get a receipt. The flow says I need to download a specific pdf (deposit slip) to bring that is generated during the flow of scheduling my interview online.

2. There are no appointments and no way for me to download any pdf!

3. NVC says they can’t provide me with the slip until there are appointments available.

4. The problem is that generating the pdf, bringing it to the bank, submitting it to their system will take a few business days.

5. So...you’re telling me that I need to wait for dates to open up so I can take a step that will take a few days? By that time the appointments will be taken!!!

So frustrating.

It's only frustrating because you do not or you have not followed the instructions. I might be able to help but you haven't completed your profile so I have no idea what embassy you are interviewing. Please don't tell me because I will not remember. Each embassy is different. Once you complete your profile then I will attempt to help. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

No. But do you have your case number yet? If so you can do it yourself. Or ask another member in the sub-forum for the Philippines who has access to the USEM scheduling calendar.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Embassy's prefer that they are printed on one side. You don't have to mail anything to the beneficiary as you can scan and email and print on their end. Saves postage costs in the neighborhood of $75.00

Thanks

Done! I apologize for being frustrating 😕
