Most embassies are going to IRS tax transcripts as they are harder to forge. So it's best to be aware of what the P3 states as you have advised.

We gathered everything for the I-134 then when she had her interview they never even asked for it or anything else for that matter. Crazy..

Processing a Visa in the Philippines typically you are not ask for financials. Once in a while they will ask and so being unprepared will only get you a 221G. Having set you back. Better to be prepared the not.

Good info on the AOS.   In Thailand, we mail in packet 3 with the i-134 and tax transcript before we ever get to the interview, so you'd  hope they have made the financial determination well in advance of the interview. Why they request another tax transcript copy is beyond me, but I'm guessing it's going to go the same way as yours.........they'll never look at it.

I've been supporting public charges since I was 14 years  old....certainly not looking to create more.

I know I'm in the minority on VJ but I don't think co sponsors should be allowed and the income requirements should be just a little higher. Immigration is not cheap. I truly wonder how some people manage it on a marginal income.

"i was pretty surprised when I started adding it all up, and then saw the bit about "yeah, if you're JUST above poverty guidelines, you're good to go".   I believe the potential for a public charge is exponentially greater in some situations."

this is what i was agreeing with. i know, hard to follow along. you can be as defensive as you want.

along the lines of what that once famous, albeit, terrible man said-

"If you cant feed your baby (yeah, yeah)
Then don't have a baby (yeah, yeah)
And don't think maybe (yeah, yeah)
If you can't feed your baby (yeah, yeah)
You'll be always tryin'
To stop that child from cryin'
Hustlin', stealin', lyin'
Now baby's slowly dyin

Some people think the borders should be wide open, so we shouldn't have to go through this process, some people think we ought to shut down all immigration, others think it's pretty good how it is, and others think we need a wall.   There will never be a consensus on anything in this country and and everyone is entitled to their opinion.........(although some think people are not entitled to their opinion).  And guess what...........that's the world that all the people we are bringing want to be a part of.

Hi guys - Two weeks ago, I received the email from the NVC saying they are forwarding the case and that they would contact my fiancée. How long should I expect that to take? Is it emailed? What does it contain? I don’t really trust Mexico’s mail system.

So you would have been on the March 5 mailing from NVC.   You can use the DHL hack that Greenbaum included on the first page of this string to see if it arrived in Mexico yet, but most likely it has.   Has your status been updated to "Ready"?

Yes

I am no expert on Mexico, but seems if it says Ready, and if you have completed your DS-160 and you have collected all the necessary documents for your interview, the next step is scheduling your interview.
