Did the DS-160 form recently changed?  I thought they ask for the last 5 years of employment and last 5 years of where you lived.  I'm helping my fiance to fill it out and I notice it's only asking for the current address and current employment.

The DS-160 is embassy specific. So as you go along and fill in the information the document will render the next question based on the answer to a previous question and it's based on what the Embassy wants to know. Some will want 5 years employment and others will not. "trust the process" and It's not a trick question.

Hey guys! Does anyone here happen to know about visa requirements for grand cayman? My fiancé lives in Rostand Honduras but his mother lives in grand cayman and wants him to fly there first to see her before he leaves. Which would work out great because the next day there would be a direct flight from grand cayman to Chicago. However, I’m not sure as a Honduran citizen if he can be in grand cayman for 16 hours with no visa, and his mother doesn’t know either. Anyone??

Of course I do. Use this website to determine if he needs a visa to travel to GC. https://mexico.visahq.com/requirements/Philippines/resident-United_States/

I believe he is talking about step #3 on this link. I am not sure if my fiancee has done this or not or what it is for. And of course he is in Thailand though...

Each of these portals are embassy specific. I appreciate your help. If he could show a screenshot it would help identify his issues.

Hey all,

I’m attending my interview in a couple of weeks, my intended living addres in the US has changed and I had already submitted a ds160.. would I need to fill in a new application?

Does this cause any issues during my interview? Is there anything I should be wary of, and should I take both my initial DS160 and the newly submitted DS160 to the interview?

Thanks in advance!

Take only the New DS-160. Petitioner changes address at USCIS. Beneficiary at interview for the delivery of the passport with visa.

My Fiance had her Interview today at the Sydney Australia embassy, we had everything that the document checklist request we have and she took more documents as well beyond what was requested, just in case.

She was approved but however they said they will only complete and mail back her passport after she submits my (petitioners') 2018 IRS Tax Transcript. I had give her my last 2 IRS transcripts (2017 and 2018) since I'm yet to file for 2018 and also my 2018 W2.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I ask because the only "Most Recent" transcript I can get from the IRS website right now is 2017 (and years before that), this is because since we are still in tax filing season I had not yet filed my Taxes, (I normally do so last week of March).

I find it rather disheartening that they would hold the approval until we provide an actual IRS transcript while people are still filing taxes for that year and the filing season isn't over yet? And also the IRS website states that transcripts take 2-6 weeks after e-filing to be available for download on their website.

I thought we had come to the end of this brutal journey but t appears there is yet another road block 😔

I filed my 2018 taxes with Turbotax then when I was in the states last month I made an appointment and went to the IRS in Dallas, Texas to get my 2017 and 2018 tax transcripts.  The lady at the IRS was surprised I filed so early.

To be blunt and honest you NEED to do your taxes now then make an appointment and go to your nearest IRS and get your 2018 tax transcripts.  Email them to her and then you can clear that roadblock.

And she said;

.Ok. So:
Trying to fill out the g.s.s. it gave me that rejection that their was a mistake. When i tried on my phone 2 hrs ago. I was able to enter my information but then it locked me out. I can not transfer my old account information to a new account?
So i can't pay the fee because i can't print the gss. Because i can't log in with your current email...

She previously did visa application stuff for a travel visa last year. Maybe she needs a new login ?

From my understanding you need to make sure you have only one profile showing all visa appts in your history. But check your ustraveldocs site and there should be a phone number to call. My fiance couldnt log in to his old profile from when he applied for his tourist Visa (had a different email), and they merged both of them and reset the password.

Been checking our case status on CEAC site.  It was "Ready" with a Case Last Updated date of March 7, and today the Case Last Updated date changed to March 13.

Does that mean anything?  Does it mean they shipped out the Packet 3 Letter?

I don't know about your embassy, but in Ukraine that's when you can schedule your appointment

If she used her old account and changed the DS-160 number I am not well versed if that is going to stick or not. Others who ran into this problem with an old DS-160 were able to use these instructions below to have the "new" DS-160 linked to the old account allowing the person to continue without issue.

Some had just followed the link  https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome clicked on "Provide Feedback" on the menu on the left, chose "Online system errors" on the "reason" drop down menu, wrote about the discrepancy in my new DS-160 application number and the schedule confirmation they sent me in the "comments" box, and attached a photo of my DS-160 application confirmation. 10 minutes later I got an email with the a schedule confirmation that had the new DS-160 application number.
