Hi everyone, just been lurking in the background for months now but had a question.  After the visa is issued but before my fiance enters the US, how long is the visa valid?  I read 6 months somewhere but that it may depend on the country?

It's up to 6 months because it's dependent on your medical date. If you had your medical the day of your interview (which some countries allow, then your visa will be valid for 6 months and so on).

yes, I was thinking the same thing............the P3 instruction just tells you what to send, but you don't have to include that instruction document.  You gather those, and bring them to the interview.  I'm not sure what value there is to bringing a copy of the instructions.   In Thailand, it works a bit differently.   We mail in P3 requirements, and then they notify us of the interview date that they set and tell you to get your medical.     We found the P3 instructions online, gathered all the docs, and we will mail tomorrow.   We are at Ready status, and we will not wait for them to send us the P3 instructions in the mail.

I am confused about P4.......some people said a physical copy is not mailed, but you get an email.  We provide email on DS-2001.  Will be interesting to see what is right.  In Phils, if you take your P3 docs to the interview, what is the P4 for?

I checked on my case and it says READY1

what should I do next to get my fiancee book her interview date and to complete her medicals?

My Fiance had her Interview today at the Sydney Australia embassy, we had everything that the document checklist request we have and she took more documents as well beyond what was requested, just in case.

She was approved but however they said they will only complete and mail back her passport after she submits my (petitioners') 2018 IRS Tax Transcript. I had give her my last 2 IRS transcripts (2017 and 2018) since I'm yet to file for 2018 and also my 2018 W2.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I ask because the only "Most Recent" transcript I can get from the IRS website right now is 2017 (and years before that), this is because since we are still in tax filing season I had not yet filed my Taxes, (I normally do so last week of March).

I find it rather disheartening that they would hold the approval until we provide an actual IRS transcript while people are still filing taxes for that year and the filing season isn't over yet? And also the IRS website states that transcripts take 2-6 weeks after e-filing to be available for download on their website.

I thought we had come to the end of this brutal journey but t appears there is yet another road block 😔

Our case hasn't even left NVC, yet, but we are getting as ready as we can right now. I filed my 2018 tax as early as possible (earlier than I ever have before 😄). I filed electronically and when I checked a week later, the transcript was available! Congratulations on your approval!

Hey guys! Does anyone here happen to know about visa requirements for grand cayman? My fiancé lives in Rostand Honduras but his mother lives in grand cayman and wants him to fly there first to see her before he leaves. Which would work out great because the next day there would be a direct flight from grand cayman to Chicago. However, I’m not sure as a Honduran citizen if he can be in grand cayman for 16 hours with no visa, and his mother doesn’t know either. Anyone??

Did the DS-160 form recently changed?  I thought they ask for the last 5 years of employment and last 5 years of where you lived.  I'm helping my fiance to fill it out and I notice it's only asking for the current address and current employment.

If I remember correctly it asked for my fiancees current employment, then asks if she was previously employed, if you check yes then you put that one also.

But, no it did not ask for 5 years of anything, they have that in the I-129f anyway.

My fiancee just finished her medical
