So as long as the Interview appointment happens before the Expire Date of the NOA2 we should be good, right? Or does the visa need to be approved before the Expire Date of the NOA2?

I have a question that may perhaps pertain to another forum.

 

Assuming my fiance is able to come mid April and we get married + get his social security a week later (as planned), would he have to register for Selective Service? He will turn 26 in July.

As long as you interview before NOA2 you should be good.

With very few exceptions, all males between ages 18 and 25 must register with the Selective Service System (SSS) within 30 days of arriving in the United States. This includes U.S. born and naturalized citizens, parolees, undocumented immigrants, legal permanent residents, asylum seekers, refugees, and all males with visas of any kind which expired more than 30 days ago. The few individuals who are exempt from this requirement are those on current non-immigrant visas. A complete list of acceptable documentation for exemption may be found here.

The Selective Service System has not now, or in the past, collected or shared any information which would indicate a man's immigration status, either documented or undocumented. Selective Service has no authority to collect such information, has no use for it, and it is irrelevant to the registration requirement. Consequently, there is no immigration data to share with anyone.

 

The general rule is that if a male non-citizen takes up residency in the U.S. before his 26th birthday, he must register with Selective Service. For a more detailed list of which non-citizens must register, see WHO MUST REGISTER - CHART in PDF.

As long as you interview before NOA2 you should be good.

It looks like the short answer is yes on the Selective Service....

Apparently K1 visa holders are exempt from this providing their passport with visa stamp and their NOA2. It's a bit complicated to understand but K1s are categorized as nonimmigrants under their Acceptable Documents pdf.

Ok.. I am just wondering and looking back and have these last couple of questions for my side before the interview.

 

1. Part 3 #3-#6 on the I-134. Looking back do I really need to put anything on 4-6 or would I have to do all kinds of things to prove these values. For example putting my 401K balance on #6. If I did that then I would have to send all kinds of documentation to prove that. I am well above the poverty level. Do I even need to put my checking and savings account balance as that fluctuates so much... Should I simply leave these blank?

 

2. My fiancees interview is on the 22nd. When should I send check stubs and letter from employer?

 

3. When should I date and sign the I-134 and send it?

All you need for Manila is 1040 with w-2s or transcript......) Send the 134 now. It does not have to be a wet signature. All the rest is unnecessary. You are going to give yourself an ulcer)))

I have already sent all 3 that you mentioned. Just was wondering about that one part of the 134 or will they even care about it other than my yearly income before sending it.
