Yeah, this might mean it's only one application, but I'm guessing it's one package containing a number of applications.

Yea they come in bundles I believe.

One case file for that shipment. They don't report nor do the use bundles as a measurement.

Thats why i ask him that question. Because i never seen this happen

They told me the same thing at one point. I believe they do some minor processing before shipping out so dont worry. You should still be okay.

Interesting, DHL must package them up later. While I was there packages to the consulate were always delivered in big bundles and packages to the main building came in huge 55 gallon size cloth bags with "diplomatic pouch" printed on them. even in the bundles though, it doesn't necessarily mean each invidual piece didn't have individual tracking though I guess.

you know I kinda find it funny that we use DHL (German based) to ship to the embassies when USPS ships to them.

Yeah, I was sitting here thinking about the process of sending cases from USCIS to NVC and then the DHLs that NVC uses to send cases out to all the embassies, and it occurred to me that this represents an incredible business opportunity for someone ........develop a method of somehow electronically transferring data from one point to another instantly.   Now of course, this would have to happen somewhere in the distant future when that sort of technology is eventually developed.   Obviously something like this could never be done in this day and age.

Yea, like some type of "electronic mail". it would be ground breaking.

well, if it's one case per shipment, I guess we all should now have a far better understanding of why it takes so long.    Seems limited to one .....or a few maximum.........per country.

Reread the letter carefully. Now follow step by step what they are asking for. Use the letter for your check list. Do as they ask and not do more then they ask. You wait and you may see He-double-hockey-sticks freeze over. By getting this back to the embassy they will finish your visa processing. Sit on it and you will be on vacation for a very long time.

They told him to wait for an email before doing anything , should we wait or go ahead and do everything

For some reason, it still doesn't show anything for Moscow. Maybe it's still early but I'd appreciate if someone could check it for me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but the last time on Feb 19th Mekulisch also couldn't track his shipment properly.

Ok, I actually did change something and got this result :D

I wonder now if 2 pieces mean 2 cases? I checked with the Russian community, and there're at least 4 of us who went In Transit this Tuesday.

According to the timeline stats, Canada has 4 VJ petitions currently in transit and DHL says "2 pieces".  I do not believe that "pieces" = "cases".

Oh ok, awesome :) I am so excited! Though unlike in other embassies, here you can't make an interview appointment before they send you a letter that you can, and right now there're no available dates at all. So for me, it's going to be another long wait :D But hopefully, the last one
