I got mine Today in the mail!

So sounds like the NVC will get it by end of the month of Jan? In the meantime, I don't know if there is a lot of Uruguay consulate info that is pointing out what I needed to prep for NOA2 quicker so I want to be aware. I haven't heard of I-824 yet.

Congrats.  I'm curious about something and maybe @Greenbaum can answer this.  Why does this NOA2 approval does not say "we have sent the original visa petition to the Dept of States National Visa Center but mine do?

I do notice that now. It did mention it is being forwarded to the Consulate. Is it skipping the NVC?

Ok,
I figured out what I need to do after doing a small search.

-Get proof of ongoing relationship ready. Starting from the last one I set up in the first packet to send and to now, that will include my plane ticket, pics, receipts, etc.
-Get my taxes done asap and get the I-134 Affidavit of Support ready.
-Make copies of my NOA2 and the previous 2 I mentioned.
-Give 1 copy of each to my Fiancé and put the other copy in my other 2 folders I had prepared.

Hopefully, I'll have this ready before my next flight sometimes in mid or late February.

If the petitioner and the fiance(e) do not marry within these 90 days, status will expire, and he or she will be in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act if he or she does not depart. An extension cannot be granted. It is requested that the petitioner inform his or her local USCIS office if he or she determines that the marriage will not take place with in the 90 day period. By the way, this is on the back of the paper:

If this notice states we approved your immigrant petition and forwarded it to the National Visa Center (NVC), the NVC will directly contact the beneficiary with information about how to apply for a visa. If any changes occur that could affect the visa eligibility, visit the NVC website at http://nvc.state.gov/ask to find contact information and a public inquiry form.

Hi @Greenbaum

I asked you before whether I need to create a new ds160 or not after noticing that I made a mistake after submitting it.

You told me that there’s no need for me to create a new one since i can just tell the CO myself to update it on my behalf on the day of the interview However, I was so bothered that I can’t sleep because I noticed a lot of mistakes with the dates that I entered.😭😭😭

What I did was I opened up my ds160 and retrieved the application and I clicked on create a new application and it just showed me my information that I already entered so I only updated the information that needs to be changed but when I submitted it, it generated a new confirmation bar code.

Someone told me that it’s fine as long as my interview appointment schedule is linked to my corrected DS160. But how would I know that it’s linked? Do I need to create a new acct and set an interview schedule again? Please let me know. I really dont know what to do and stressing me out. I’m aftraid that on the day of my interview they will just tell me to reschedule my interview.

It is my understanding that waiting for approximately 2 weeks before calling is a good idea.  Take a look at the 1st post in this thread for more information.  When calling, ask for your case number.
