I'm so sorry to hear of your difficulties.

They received mine on Friday, January 18th. My NOA2 was January 2nd.

Keep calling they should have it soon everyone’s time line is different. You can also email them as well.

It's the petitioner's money that they will review and not the beneficiaries. You many need to put school off until after the AOS is submitted. It's a catch 22 situation where you want school and a husband but something may need to give to get one or both.

Perhaps if his beneficiary makes good money from his business, he could "hire" the Petitioner as an employee and pay him enough salary to meet the income levels while also going to school?

BUT, the beneficiary CANNOT work while waiting for the AOS to adjudicated from a K-1 visa.

Could someone tell what the number on the NOA2 next to the word Beneficiary is for?

Also step one at the beginning of this topic it gives a link to update my e-mail with NVC should I still do this even if I don't have a question to ask at the moment?

  1. It is their "A" number also known as "Alien" number, previously known as INS number, or USCIS number. From this point on you will have to provide it whenever dealing with USCIS. It will also make an appearance on their Citizen of Naturalization a few years from now assuming things go well.
  2. Yes, you do in fact have a question to ask, your question is "What is my NVC case number?" Your beneficiary can fire request too.

Yes, you do in fact question to ask, your question is "What is my NVC case number?"

Thanks

On the site where it says (NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number)

This will be three letters, followed by ten numbers, For example: ABC2014123456

I would use the WAC number for this yes?

Hey guys, I just checked on CEAC website and saw this message..

When I follow the link to instructions it shows 6 steps I should take...

Step 1: Choose an agent???? <------- Can someone please explain this??

Should I follow any of these 6 steps or just wait to submit my DS160 when the status changes to 'In Transit'?

Sorry but I thought the OP mentioned that the beneficiary had a successful business [overseas?] from which he could hire the Petitioner to meet the income limits. Surely the Beneficiary could still have a business in another country while waiting for AOS?

The message is boilerplate, and really applies to immigrant visas, not immigrant-intent visas like K-1s. Don't worry about it.

You can submit the DS160 any time. https://ceac.state.gov/

when do you have to submit ds160? is it okay if you dont have MNL# and you just received NOA2? is the petitioner the one to apply for ds160? or it should be the beneficiary the one who have to submit it?

Hey @Greenbaum

I have already submitted my ds160 and just realized that I made a mistake. I was not able to tick the “I hereby certify that I have received a copy of the IMBRA pamphlet as part of my application packet” prior hitting submit. will this cause a problem? It it possible to create a new one or can I still edit the one that Ive already submitted?

Although you can't make "corrections" you can start over completely and take the new confirmation page with you to the interview. As long as you dont have an interview scheduled already.

I already have a scheduled interview that will be on March 7. I only realized that I made a mistake after I scheduled the interview.

Does that mean I can go ahead and create a new one? I just have to bring the old and new confirmation page? Am I correct?

Sure. I'd be glad to help. Our application just arrived at the NVC but as soon as it gets to the embassy and we here from them, I'll let you know and also post on the Consultar Review section for Cuba (even though it's in Guyana).

Thanks, I'll be checking your posts to see your updates and info
