After getting our case number today we have discovered that our case has been assigned to the wrong embassy (Montreal - where we have lived up to now) instead of London (my country of citizenship and where we will be returning to wait out the rest of this process as our lease in Montreal is up). I just called the NVC and was told that as it is still there there is a chance that we can switch embassies. However, she did tell me that Montreal visas get sent out to the embassy pretty quickly and it may get sent before we have time to change it. Does anyone know whether this is true? I am hoping that it's not and they just get sent every two weeks like other visas so we still have a week or so to change it and make the next shipment to London. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't seem to be. Montreal visas are getting sent out at the same rate as everyone else.  You're likely looking at it being at the NVC until March 5.

At the rate things are going, I think 23 days is overly optimistic for us. Our 23 days will be next Friday and looking at progression so far on January cases, I don't think there's any chance it's coming before then. Things seemed to have almost stalled coming out of USCIS.  NOA2s are getting handed out at a significantly higher rate than packets are getting sent to NVC.

Nope. He sent me a screenshot and I asked him if there were any error messages. Everything seems to be in order.

I'm sorry, hun. 😕 I can't think of what else it could be. You might have to restart the application. I had to do that early on because the first one kept giving me an error. To be the government, their sites are so medieval. lol

Hopefully. I'm more worried for the 28jan to 1feb guys. If they don't get their stuff received by NVC before next Wednesday they probably aren't making the shipment on the 5th, and so far only one person has updated NVC received from that group. Maybe tomorrow will be a good day. Theres around 60 people in that group on VJ, only 1 received. Not a good ratio.

Great, thanks so much for confirming. Never thought I would actually be happy to have my case stuck at the NVC for a few more days.
