Thank you for all of the information from this post and the last. On Monday my fiance will call, and I can update you on Austria's procedure with that.

I have added some info. to my profile, so I hope that helps too!

Profile looks spot on.

I just want to add a caution to the submittal of the I-134 document at the time of the interview. Their is not a common practice that ALL the embassy subscribe to when it comes to a original signature or a copied signature. Embassy's like Japan or even Brazil who requires every document be original. Find other members from your country and also connect to others in your regional discuss group and there would be a good place to ascertain what is needed. I have heard where a missing original cause a couple to be put in 221(g) status till such time as they could submit their I-134 with an original signature.

Got an email from the NVC today. It basically stated that they have no record of my case yet and the standard time-frame for it to be received and processed is 6 weeks.

We're gonna wait a couple of weeks before calling.

Hello all January people!

We received our NOA2 a couple hours ago! It was addressed on Dec. 31, 2018.

Feeling very excited and thankful, but a bit wary with the government shut down. Anyone have any insight as to whether the NVC is being affected by the shutdown?

Many thanks and best of luck to all.

Hello,

We also received our NOA2 which was addressed on Dec, 31 on January 4th 🙏🏾 so we’re also patiently waiting and hoping the shutdown doesn’t cause any further delays. The overall process seems so long but we’re trying to use this time to gather all necessary documents before we hear from them again 🤞🏽

Historically for Philippine filers. How long after receiving your MNL number has it taken for the Packet to get to the embassy. And im talking from getting the MNL number from calling, not waiting to receive a notice. We have our documents all ready to go DS160 complete/submitted and all we need is the MNL number to pay for the visa and make the appointment and do medical the same week as the appointment. Im just wondering if it would be enough time after getting the MNL number to schedule the next available appointment or schedule the middle to end of february? What is everyone else doing? Thanks.

Best is to schedule 30 -45 days out from getting your MNL# You can cancel 2 times before you are penalized so you can gauge whether to cancel and reschedule for a closer appt date or one further out without an problem.

Depends on when you get a shipment date. Shipment dates are not every other week so if you have your CN on the front end then you wait 2 weeks, if you get approved CN just prior to shipments then wait days.

Once your file is at USEM then add a few days.

If your record is not set to "ready" from USEM and you have scheduled an interview prior to that action then you will be turned away.

Also, The embassies states in their letter: Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of property, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. Generally, a single-entry fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant visa is valid for six months from the date of issuance, unless its validity is limited by medical or other restrictions.

I received the same email but I called on Friday the 18th and they said they had received it that same day.  NOA2: Jan 2nd, 2019.

You can always just give them a call in about a week. They're very friendly.

Mine had a huge bump in the road as you can tell from the gaps. I got a Senator involved because USCIS didn’t forward my petition until January 16. I did call to get the number NVC never emailed me. They gave me a number pretty quick. When did they receive yours?

You will need to complete the I-134 for your interview plus submit the "evidence of support" documents. Line 6 on your 1040 is the number they use for comparison. Here is the website for the poverty level guideline https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

Thank you for providing this information. My issue is that I plan to go back to school and won't have enough income to meet the poverty level guideline. Do you know if it is possible to also include my beneficiaries income? He is a business owner and makes more than enough. He is telling me that it shouldn't be a problem because he'll explain that he has enough money in the interview.

It's the petitioner's money that they will review and not the beneficiaries. You many need to put school off until after the AOS is submitted. It's a catch 22 situation where you want school and a husband but something may need to give to get one or both.
