So Just called NVC and asked them what embassy our case is being sent to because the status on the case according to the CEAC website was "At NVC" when I talked to the Lady she said that our was no longer at NVC but was sent back to USCIS. Anyone know why? Or has had a similar situation?? Really would like some help on finding out whats going on? 😕

09/10/2018 - Case number received via text/email

Old NOA1 - 08/31/2018

New NOA1 - 09/06/2018

01/24/2019 - Checked new website and see an approval!

02/06/2019 - NVC received our case. Pending Case #

02/11/2019 - Called NVC, Case # has been assigned.

04/09/2019 - K1 Interview/Approved!

When NVC receives the approved I-129f from USCIS, they check to ensure that it’s been stamped. NVC will occasionally receive a petition from USCIS and it does not have the appropriate approval stamp in the upper left-hand corner. They are also checking to make sure that the three criminal questions have been answered. There are times when the petitioner will forget to complete those questions and those questions are subsequently missed by the adjudicator.  In both of these instances the case will then be sent back to USCIS. If one of these things occur with a case file recently received from USCSI, NVC would know within the first week of receiving the case.

 

This is typically the reason for it to be returned. Easy fix and sent back to NVC. Shouldn't be more then 2 week.s

Does anyone know more or less how long it takes them to issue a case number after it's been received? I know the obvious as soon as an hour as late as 8 weeks answer lol

 

Maybe the right question is: For those of you that received a case number already, how long did it take from the time they received it to the time you got a case number?

My case was received Tues Feb 12, and case # was assigned either after 11pm Wednesday night, or before 10am Thursday morning (EST)  So within 48 hours.

Case was recieved at NVC today! 😏 Talked to NVC representative, and they explained that the case number will be assigned at a later date. To call back weekly. Very excited and hoping the number will be assigned soon! Need to make the 3/5 or 3/6 shipment to embassy. God is good people.
