You will, your packet was probably the first in the pile if you barely missed last shipment.

Haha I wish. We only got our case number on Feb 14th. It was 28 days wait.

Did you call USCIS? I was also waiting since Jan 18th. We only got it at the end of the last week. Ask USCIS when they shipped it. It usually takes about a week for it to get to NVC

Did you have a stamp issue? I would recommend calling once they open today and seeing what's going on, because you're past the standard right now, which seems to be 21 to 28 days. I'd just call NCV, chances are they have your packet now.

edit. just read your other post. if they received your packet but you still havent got an nvc number, it may have got sent back to USCIS to get something fixed.

January 18 was my approval date and NVC received it on February 6 and no assigned case number

Do call. They sometimes assign it right away as you call if they already received it.

Same............and rec'd our number at about 7pm Thursday evening.   This is going to one long day, ending in misery or complete elation.   😄

Interesting note on NVC website today.  Had not noticed this previously.

Please be advised that the NVC has temporarily changed the hours of operation for our call center.  Customer Service Representatives are available from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

I’m kind of lost at this point. I week ago I received this mail (I was thinking that the embassy of my country will call me for the interview).  Just yesterday I figure out that I have to sign in the Consular Electronic Application Center, I put the case number (I put the first code that I received in this mail) then it as me for an invoice ID number. First question what is this number where can I find it, Second question Should I have to wait for the embassy call or what should I do next I’m colleting all the documents and also I did the ds160.

Thanks in advance

I'm not yet losing hope for the feast to reach our outsiders table tonight :D But if it doesn't, at least we will definitely make it in 2 weeks. Ugh.

I've had terrible luck trying to call USCIS........never felt like I got a straight answer from those people.    How do you know NVC got your case on Feb 6?   Email or phone call?   I always trust written communications far more than verbal.   Remember that others of us just rec'd the NVC case number two working days ago, so it's not totally bad news for you.

In addition to your calls, I'd write to them at the link below.  They take 3-4 working days to respond so maybe you would hear by Friday....Monday latest.   Likely you will already have your case by then, but if not, hopefully they will provide you with additional info.   I rec'd my case number in response to an email I sent using the link below.

It sounds like you are at the payment step.  You mentioned finishing the DS-160.   For us, this was the payment.   ustraveldocs.com   Is that the site you are on?   If so, then you need to print out the payment instructions and the deposit slip.   Then, go to the bank and pay.  They will give you a receipt.  After a few days, you can go back in to ustraveldocs.com and complete the application.

I found 20 people on VJ reporting that they got NOA2 on January 18.   7 have reported that they got a case number.   So 65% of the people still do not have the case number.   You'll likely get it this week.

They are probably extending the hours due to getting overloaded with calls due to the backlog. I wonder if they've extended working hours due to this also, or if it's just the call center. Would be nice to see both USCIS and the NVC get put on overtime until this backlog gets cleared and they get more staff hired. There's no reason people should be waiting this long for such simple documents to get processed.
