Yes, he's arriving in Houston and I can pick him up from there but most flights out of Lebanon have a connection at Heathrow and that airport is huge lol so hopefully I can book him one with a connection in Istanbul and that would make it easier for him, I think.

If he went through Heathrow there is a good chance he would pass US customs before boarding. Nothing to do in Houston. But hey you guys know your level of PAIN. :D

Hopefully alot of case numbers will arrive to NVC this week! NOA2 January 24th here. I've been reading it's taking 21-28 days for NVC case number 🙄🙄

28 in my case.   I'd count on 30, and then be pleasantly surprised if it's earlier.

Are u saying to call uscis or NVC? I've called USCIS twice and one agent told me the petition has been sent. And the other agent said it could take up to 90 days for the petition to reach NVC. Ive called NVC every week.

USCIS calls are a waste of time.  I could absolutely not get a straight answer on whether it shipped or not.   I've got a case number now, and I'd swear if I called USCIS they would not be able to tell me if it shipped or not.   Call NVC.....and 90 days is waaaay out of the normal distribution.

Oh, and I doubt Tier 2 will be able to tell you much more than a Tier 1......maybe, but seems it's either there, or it's not.

Iv been keeping an eye on some potential flights for when the visa is approved and with all the flight talk here I’m wondering if anyone knows if booking a“return” flight will look suspicious over a one way flight? Like will it show lack of intent to stay in the US even though I don’t intend on using the return flight. The one way flights are so expensive in comparison. I don’t plan on booking anything just yet just getting opinions on this.

Daim, one way cost is insane.   Round trip cost originating in Bangkok, compared to Chicago............also insane.   We're going with one way from BKK for her so we can get far more reasonable fares originating in US.

Never an issue with anyone you will meet after you receive the visa. So travel in style and go the extra mile. :D

BTW for all you ticket hounds. If you have a VPN set it for a country that you would like to see ticket prices from. You just might save a few hundred peso's.

Yeah, LHR is sometimes an absolute pain.....when you have to change terminals on the shuttle and then re-passing through security.   If he's on BA all the way through, he won't likely leave T5 and that makes a difference.  Leave enough layover time to get through there.

Regarding US clearance, I am not aware of that in LHR............Dublin and Abu Dhabi.   I was considering Etihad through Abu Dhabi but heard Chicago is pretty easy to get through.
