the suggestion of people trolling regionals unrelated to their SO's is sad, heck - many people in the MENA regional forum probably think I am trolling since my profile says Canada, we all have interesting points of view to offer. whatever forum you are in don't forget your diplomacy and apostrophes.

Lol Laura you're so funny!

yeah well IM sure you noticed i rarely use them (being the "apos" po-po) i just want to all get along, and i promise to use them going forward, heck i may eventually upgrade to capitalizing me i's (whoo hooo lookie what i just used)

none are wayyyyyy better than wrongly using them for words that end in S

I have to admit this is deer in head lights for me. I'm upset that this fight is being carried over here. I almost posted on the orginal UK forum question last night but was too tried. Now I find myself reading though this even though I feel totally used at the same time. Looks like the smoke is clearing a little now the firemen are here.

I'll say this one more time...I was SINCERE in this post. This was not meant to flame anyone; this was meant to find out if the people who frequent this forum felt the same. It's called perspective. Yet, you've made a snap judgement about me having sinister motives when you don't even know me. Talk about a bandwagon mentality!

Feel used? What on earth!

I have no qualms with saying how I feel...and I wouldn't need to hide behind a passive agressive thread to 'carry on' a fight. If I wanted to continue the fight, I would have & would have done so openly instead of pathetically bringing it somewhere else. There was enough people in that thread in question from other regions...all saying the same as me...people can post where they want. And tbh, HAD this thread turned into conveying the same mentality, I would have reconsidered my postition on the subject...so please, before feeling 'used' or like 'a deer in headlights' try recognizing the difference between truth and believing the hype of something that runs wayyyy deeper than what you think you know.

Thank you

My point exactly. So why the need to reiterate it here?

I feel you and others made a good argument that this is a public board and everyone can post and or read whatever and wherever they like. I don't disagree with that at all. I do however disagree with beating a dead horse, it should have ended on the other thread. This thread has basically directed everyone to the other one, so the drama continues.

There is a good reason I set VJ up in my favorites to open on the forums page. I can easily avoid topics I have no business being in, which in return makes my blood pressure stay at a normal level. Now the one place I do like to check in on is filled with the same BS I avoid by not going to other specific regional forums.

Now back on topic. I could care less who post in the UK forums, so long as they aren't here for sh*t stirring. As of late it doesn't seem we need "interlopers" for that.

Why bring it up here? Because I wanted to, Bethanie. I wanted to directly ask people here their thoughts on this forum and whether they felt any sense of 'ownership' of this particular forum. I've said that before, and now I've said it again. You ask why I beat a dead horse, and I ask you the same since I'm doing nothing but repeating myself here with the same explanation as before. And if I'm asked again, it'll be the same then too. So yeah, you're right...beating a dead horse seems silly. You can choose to believe that or not, but that's the truth. And if it's such an off the wall or leading question, why answer it?

The bottom line is, once again...many people WERE posting in that other thread. It got me wondering if every regional forum felt the same. And if you'll notice, there was no mention of that other thread or HEY GUYS LOOKIT THIS! by me....no sh!t stirring, no drama. While the other thread was the motivation for this, it was not a carry over. I was not the one who brought that other thread into this.

The good thing about text is that you can go back and see for yourself, you don't have to rely on my word.

There have been plenty of posts that spark ideas for other posts... this one's no different. If the recent issue in the Russia Forum prompted the examination of how welcoming this one is, why is that a bad idea?

If one wants their own little corner of the world, they are welcome to go try to find it..... I don't understand why the sharing of perspectives across forums is unacceptable to some.

Many are quite vocal about telling posters to turn off their CAPS lock, or change their font color, even if it's the poster's preference.... no one jumps on them.... but if someone gets vocal about about a 'human interest' perspective, wagons are circled....

VJ sheesh.

Oh, looky, I'm the only one, yet again.

I figure this is my place to come & chat about UK things, with my UK peeps. Someone else butts in & inevitably has no idea what we're on about, or won't bother to read a whole post, etc, etc. But they still offer opinions.

Oh well. To each his own. I never visit other regional forums, why would I? I figured they're on about ME/NA bickering or Canadian maple syrup or mail order brides, or other stuff I have no interest in.

I had to laugh when I looked to the bottom of this page and YOU were the last poster on the New Philippines Regional Forum Thread this evening!

Yeah, cuz I moved a thread & explained why. Because I'm helpful, not an instigator.

Ok. Moving threads.

Why not show me where I have been an instigator if that's what your response is implying.

It was actually tongue in cheek and I found it really funny that it was at the bottom of the page where this thread was. That's all...no need for "instigator accusations" or whatever the name du jour is.

Lisa is my friend; that's no secret, and we have had many disagreements-I am not here to defend her and she doesn't want or need that however; I am thinking this thread had merit and was asking a genuine question. It only turned bad once the other thread was mentioned....after that a bandwagon of people just started coming from the woodwork and continuing the drama with glib one liners and snappy comments or name calling, using the chance to get a shot at " Big Bad Lisa".

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Just catching up with this tonight...and I promise, I'm not trying to stir anything here. I just felt compelled to say this because of a comment you made, Lisa...about not being the one to bring that other thread into this discussion. I honestly feel you did by the post "anyone like my new siggy?" and it was "the Interloper" as it still is. To me, that is what did it...others may disagree. It's what got me, personally, wondering... "well, what's THAT all about then?". Not trying to start anything, just wondering....that is what you were obviously referring to there...you know?

I also agree that it was important enough what you were saying (and others) about it's every member's right to post wherever he/she wants to whenever he/she wants to. The part I disagreed with was the taunting, etc...well, anyway, I mentioned it in my first post. The posts weren't ALL about "it's our right" is what I'm getting at.

Anyway, that's all. M.

Fair enough, Michelle. I totally get what you're saying, but I disagree as far as when things really 'kicked off' here. Everyone here gets a little silly from time to time and that's all it was...not meant in any way as 'go check this other thread', nor did I even reference any other forum.

Perhaps in retrospect I shouldn't have made that comment, but eh, hindsight is 20/20, lol. But I do contend that things didn't turn ugly until that comment to Tmma. However that little comment, imo, didn't warrant the response it got. Obviously many participated, yet I'm the only one being held responsible. Many here know why. Maybe not all, but many do.

I'm not sitting here whining about it, just giving my perspective. If one is going to sh!t fling, then just do so, but don't do so while thinking 'oh the drama! I wish it would stop!'

I'm not sure - is this referring to your comments in the Russian forum?

As a matter of fact, it applies to us ALL.
